Wow, mummyof3boys1girl. That is a very low calorie diet, especially if you are planning to cut out the coke and any snacks.
I'm by no means an expert, but I was on a similar calorie intake when I started the Cambridge diet and was warned only to do gentle exercise at that calorie level, ie a very gentle short walk, and was told to eat extra protein if you feel faint. I also had to tell my doctor that I was going on such a low calorie diet sothat they could advise me on what was best for my health.0 -
Mummyof3 - I cant not comment on your diet plan I'm afraid, pleeeease don't follow something so restrictive.
Biscuit for breakfast and crisp sandwich for lunch...Washed down with chocolate and coke? Might be low calorie overall but it's not what your body needs. The best bit of your day was the spag bol but you didnt eat it all? Homemade spag bol can be full of all kinds of goodness, dont give that up! You need complex carbs/protein/veggies for a balanced diet, and to have decent skin for wedding etc. have you looked at something like slimming world or weight watchers to see what they recommend?0 -
I dont eat much anyways since having my 4th child i workedout exactly what i had yday and with a yoghurt and the bits i missed my cal intake yday was 1300 also i struggle to finish a full meal as i feel bloated due to cyst and polyps so for me the spag bol i done good xx0

Also im not on a diet plan just gonna eat what i want but keep cal down i was on slim fast but it made me sick forcing the food down that was tasteless x0 -
Mummy of 3 - don't let your calories drop below 1000, your body will store fat and slow your metabolism and store fat if it is not getting enough calories, so not good for weight loss!
If you check out some of the nutrition websites food focus etc - they will tell you how many calories you need to sustain your daily activities and help with calculating goals etc.
My health kick continued yesterday - Dinner was on Omelette (with lean Bacon, red onion, small bit of cheese, and peppers) and it was delicious!
I also had 2 squares of Tesco dark chocolate (mint flavour!). I read a few times that dark chocolate speeds up your metabolism.
Total calories - 1023 (Although prob slightly higher, as i'm sure i've forgotten something)
I think i need to increase calories a bit actually - the last time i was on the calories counting, i was around 1100 a day and lost significant weight, much more than i did when eating 800 odd!
Exercise - General housework, and I did 2 sessions of the 10 minute tone ups!
Today - I had a very healthy breakfast of smoked Salmon (Trying to reduce the carbs - and didn;t realise fruit had so much carbs - 26g in a Banana????)Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
I agree with the comments about very low cal diets, won't harp on, all good advice so far.
Only 9 days to go for me, eek!!! Final fitting this evening, wish me luck
lazer - I know, and I love bananas! Must stay off them in the run-up to the wedding. I'm trying to stick to good quality protein, oily fish, fruit and veg, with pulses and brown rice. Not doing too badly, but I do have the odd chocolate-based slip-up7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

The 2 weeks before the wedding will be very low carb diet for me too - with any chocolate slip ups being dark chocolate lol!
Is all fruit high carb - or are bananas worse than most?Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
Has anyone got ideas for a low carb breakfast? All I can think of are eggs, or the likes of salmon and such.0

thats all i could come up with too!
Eggs require cooking and i never have time for that, so smoked salmon it is (its the only fish i'll eat!)
Bacon?
There is a few good suggestions here too

Natural yoghurt is quite low carb, I've been having it with mixed berries which are also low in carbs0
