But I still make amazing cakes! Unless I tell people they are dairy and egg free, they don't tell the difference.0

some of the best cakes are those made when you have to get creative with ingredients, must be difficult though to avoid eggs and nuts in cakes.
I make a lot of gluten free cakes and most people don't have a clue unless you tell them.
and i make a tray of flapjack everyweek for H2Bs pack-up, but it's full of nuts, seeds and fruit so I have a sneaky bit and convince myself it's healthy, like one of those healthy energy bars but homemade and with chocolate on top. When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle.

and i stayed about the same this week.
bouncing around like an idiot at a concert last night did the trick, but my feet are killing today. When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle.

My feelings were mixed the day before tbh Jo. I was stressed earlier as our flight was delayed by an hour (typical), then the bus took ages to get us to the cake shop (to approve the cake) whereby I discovered we had gone to the wrong branch!! Luckily FIL collected us from there, took us to the correct branch (took longer than it should of due to the tram works confusing his sat nav lol). But once we dropped stuff at the venue I was SO excited!! Had a brilliant evening, went for a meal with around half of our guests who were in Edinburgh early enough. Would definitely recommend going out the night before with some of your guests
Oh dear Daisie, I don't blame you, I can't resist baked goods! Too yummyIt's my mum's 50th birthday this year and we are having an afternoon tea party but I can decide what to make (any suggestions Jo??)
Work was really busy today! So glad to be homeHad porridge for breakfast, lunch was left overs from last night of salad leaves, cous cous , falafel and tzaiki. Had some grapes, an apple, banana and a single choc too. Can't decide what to do for dinner though.
Hope everyone has a great long weekendWe are meeting my parents in the city tomorrow for a catch up, then going down to MIL's that night for a family BBQ sunday and then home monday to see Tim Minchin in the evening
Can't wait!

Oh that sounds really cool! Where is he showing? I quite like him.
Things for afternoon tea... Caramel slices, chocolate tarts, lemon slices, brownies, flapjacks, scones (fruit & plain), eclairs, tea loaf... Shall I go on?! and for sandwiches salmon, ham, egg, cucumber...! I do like my afternoon tea! :rotfl:
Good news! I weighed myself when I got home n it said I lost 2lb! So I'm :j now! I will take the mean and say I lost 1!:T0 -
He is at Leicester Square Theatre as part of Richard Herrings Podcast. Should be good. We are actually seeing him on Tuesday too haha. Tuesday is at the 100 club on Oxford Street. He is going to be doing serious songs for that one, should be interesting. Looking forward to it
My cousin is making a big cake and some cupcakes. I have already decided to do jam tarts, brownies and flapjacks, plus fruit, plain and choc chip scones (lots of children). Don't think I am good enough to do eclairs! Not worked up the courage to do try it yet haha. I love afternoon tea too! We went for part of my hen do and it was brilliant
Yay well done on the loss Jo0 -
Lying in bed this morning OH said my tummy looks like it's 'going down' (his phrase for 'getting flatter' lol)
So I had croissants for breakfast! Oops. Nah, I had factored it in, and I won't have any lunch (it was a late breakfast) and just a small dinner, so it should be ok.
Went out last night for my grandmother's birthday and while everyone else had steak and chips or lasagne and chips and then extra cheesy chips for the table (my nana's choice - and she couldn't understand why my sister and I were in hysterics over it - a 77 yr old favouring the late night kebab shop food of choice for drunk students the land over!) I had a grilled salmon fillet and salad, no dressingI was quite proud.
Hope everyone has a lovely long weekend! Well done on the loss Jo and Em, enjoy Tim Minchin - I'm so jealous!0 -
I am really starting to worry about how I am going to look on my wedding day. I have never really been overly self-conscious. I'm happy in myself, I'm reasonably thin and have curves in the right places... but knowing everyone is going to be looking at you is really starting to eat away at me. But unfortunately for one week I can be good and then as soon as I have a little craving, I worry again. Major vicious circle!! I have four months to go, and my dress fits perfectly, I don't want to lose weight really just have toned arms, shoulders and a flat tummy. Which was probably never happen lol... grrrrrrrrMarried my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0

home monday to see Tim Minchin in the evening
Can't wait!
I saw Tim Minchin in a small concert in my town hall (and I was only in about the 5th row). He was really good. I'd love to see him again. I didn't know him at the time and I was very impressed. I loved watching the canvas bag song live lol.
Only 2 days to go :j:eek: People have started arriving and the house will get quite full tomorrow. Still doesn't seem real it is on Monday, it will only probably feel real when I am in my dress.0 -
Hope everything goes brilliantly, good luck!!Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0
