That sounds promising olokia and you seeing your friend was a good outcome too. you will get something. fingers crossed for you. :0)
wow em!!! all those things wouldnt have lasted at all in the house! you guys are def so good, so well done..:)
it angers me when I think about JSA as when i left uni and was jobless, it was SUCH a hassle getting it that in the end, i left it and was thn working part time around the uni anyway so made sure i got extra shifts and all that. It makes me so angry how the other people just get it so easily. grrr.. sometimes i wonder about the government.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

haha we did get LOADS of food given to us over christmas so we have still eaten a fair bit lol.
it isn't fair how it works but I can't propose how to make it better. Politics is very complicated and far to boring for me to be as interested as I should be lol. We got our electoral roll confirmation thing through the other day and rather than thinking 'oh the london mayor election is soon' I though 'oh that won't be my name then I will be Mrs OH's surname' heehee0 -
Will you definately get JSA? When OH didn't have a job but I did, earning law society minimum for trainee solicitors, I used to be classed as earning too much for OH to get any benefits. But what I earnt wasn't enough for us to live on so I used to work in a shop at weekends too, so I was working 7 days a week because we couldn't get any help from the government. It was awful. Couldn't believe we weren't entitled to any help.
I don't need the JSA now as I can't apply for 2 weeks and that is when the other job will start. I would probably have got contributions based JSA as I have paid enough National insurance but I definitely would not have got income based JSA as OH earns too much.0 -
Oh thats good you can start the next one immediately so no gap.
I've just had some disappointing news and now all I want to do is eat chocolate! Stupid emotional eater0 -

It's silly really but just had confirmation my godparents can't come to the wedding. My godfather was diagnosed with cancer in December (it's bad, he isn't going to get better) so I knew it was unlikely they would be able to come (especially with having to travel up to Edinburgh). My godmother just confirmed there really is no likelyhood of them being able to make it and I am really sad about it. I knew I shouldn't have got my hopes up that they would be able to come but couldn't help it so am now gutted that they can't. It is better to know now but still disapointed0

That's not silly! That is totally understandable! Ugh such a shame.

Arrhh thanks girls. The thing is as soon as he was diagnosed it was obvious really that he would be too ill to come but I was still really hoping he would magically be well enough. It is my own fault for not thinking about it with a realistic view point.0
