Oh I love Ritz biscuits - yum yum.
Housework definately will burn some calories.0 -
Got everything crossed for you Hadley
I used to love Ritz biscuits when I was a little kid, haven't had them in ages!
Can't decide what to have for dinner. OH is out so its just me to feed. Hmmm0 -
Can be easier when its just you as you can do whatever you fancy... though there is also the danger that you can't be bothered to cook and end up snacking. Or maybe thats just me..:rotfl:
OH won't be back till about 8:30 or so tonight - but will have to feed the kids. They will just want rubbish as usual.0 -
That's it I am more likely to snack on rubbish if it is just me. Hmm need to go to the shop to get some bread on the way home may get some potatoes too and have a jacket potato. That's healthy.0

Glad its not just me then Em. A jacket spud is yum - just watch the filling. I can go a bit mad with adding things to JPs.:rotfl:
I am only going to cook for me as have the turkey to use up - otherwise I too would be pickingNOt sure what OH will fancy when he comes back from work - sure it wont be my stir fry (apparently its not sufficient to feed him as a man :rotfl:). Might do him some turkey, pots and veg - meat and pot should keep him happy.

I'm gonna join in
my sisters wedding is in may and mine is set for next year. i went from being a size 12-14 to a size 16-18 in the space of 5 months. this was a major confidence hit and i now suffer from depression along with other things. the reason i put on weight is an underlying problem raised its head meaning i couldnt do much exercise and i got put on steroids which added extra weight. ive never really been a massive exercise freak but used to speed walk everywhere which now isnt possible.
so, anyway, my new years resolution was to lose weight. im never going to be skinny but i want to be a size 12 and feel confident with my body. a massive problem was snacking, i would get bored so i would snack. also, getting up on a morning and having a coffee and then maybe a glass of coke or fizzy drink with tea.
I started drinking nothing but water all day and a glass of juice with tea for a treat. If i fancy something i always said I would have it as i know in my own mind i would just want it and want it and want it and then i would overindulge. so if i fancy a cookie, i will have 2 and then do 5 minutes on the wii.
The main thing i do is roughly 20 minutes exercise a day, split up if needs be. so far i have gone from 14st8-13st11 in 3 weeks.
Also, i always have a cheat day, so even if i fancy something fatty and want to just eat and eat, its something to look forward to at the end of the week if im good all week and do everything ^ up there.
bit of an essay lol but might help someone0 -
Well come Mrsbunn!
I think a few of us on here have 'treat days', in my case it's any day that begins with s. this includes special days (birthdays etc), where I basically try to watch and make right decisions, but don't worry too much about it and will indulge if I really want it!
I have also cut out coca cola- only have it very rarely now, and don't really miss it either.
I sympathise with the snacking when bored- I 'used' to do that too. Ok I still do but not so much! :rotfl::T0 -
Ohhh yeah maybe I will have a sweet potato jacket. Sounds like a plan. Nice and healthy.
Welcome MrsbunnI am also a snacker, particularly when I am on my own but am trying really hard as only have just over 10 weeks till the wedding

Am still undecided as to whether I like sweet potato or not.... must give it another try, but noone else in the house will eat it.
Welcome Mrs Bunn. I too like (well read love) snacking. But it has to be in moderation. Well done for the weight loss already. :T0
