Think I also have a what's the difference attitude regarding the strike... Yes we didn't !!!! it up, yes it's not fair, but when something is this bad we all need to make sacrifices an get on with it. Besides when is life ever fair?!:T0

Well ladies... much as i'm enjoying talking to you when i should be writing my report, I have to love you and leave for tonight.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening and no doubt speak to you tomorrow.
Whoops was meant to be off now, but just wanted to say thats such a good thought Jo.0 -
i know Jo. its sad.
at least srikes here are planned!
in kenya, the strikes and riots just happen on an ad-hoc basis. scary! hadley good luck with the report and thanks for being so sweet.. well i do ask that girl to meet up separately but as she is so busy, she combined it with both of us and he does like to meet up with her alone. i got so funny with that but i have to be sensible and rational. i have make friends. hehe.. bad me..
thanks for listening though xx

Hello ladies. Been striking today so not been around.
Found an article earlier that was quite interesting while I was looking for information on my high prolactin levels. I'm not linking to it because some of it was a bit hokey and seemed to be advocating that we all have "couple time" without getting to the good bit.
Anyway the article was all about dopamine levels and how drops in dopamine effect the body, and how it's behind a lot of the desire we feel for eating and that we get a bigger and faster dopamine blast from high calorie, high fat foods than vegetables, which is why we prefer to eat those.
Most of the article was about s e x but it did say that it's important to have balanced levels of dopamine as too much makes you behave erratically and too little makes you feel sad.
It kind of made sense to me because where prolactin levels are high, dopamine levels are low, leading to my need to eat chocolate and bad foods.
:rotfl::rotfl:
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

thanks for that! makes sense as dopamine is linked to the brain/moods and i suppose decreases/increases can be bad!! hmm interesting indeed!!! can you send us a link please?
right am going to 'tart' myself up now. hehe.. everyone have a looovely evening and speak tomorrow. lets hope me and hubby havent argued on the way back.

OK. Just for the record, I don't agree with everything it says and it is a bit odd. But as it raises some interesting issues, here is the link

Wow everyone has had a busy day. I have been really busy at work so had to do that rather than be on here lol. I did have a meeting with my bosses though which was helpful.
Jo I'm 23 too
Not that it really matters but I am putting it out there anyway, lol, I am all for the strike today. If I worked in the public sector I would definitely have taken part. Hadley if you had taken part in the strike that could not be held against you in a redundancy situation; it was an official strike and it is illegal to discipline someone for taking part (just fyi in the future).
Rups hope you have (or had by the time you read this) a good eveningsure hubby loves you and is not interested in anyone else!
[As an aside I have been awful foodwise today but it was oh so yummy lol]0 -
I would definitely have taken part in the strike as well if I had been in the public sector.
I'm 24.
I'm going to post my weigh in a day early this week as tonight I am going out for a leaving do and eating pub food and drinking lots of calories. Which will mess up the results I am so happy about as tomorrow I will be slightly higher.
I mentioned earlier this week that I was on target to reach 2lbs loss by Friday. I reached it today :j
So that's 2lb weight loss for me this week.
and 6lb total weight loss.0 -
well done Olokia.:j:beer: thats great news..
youmust be sooo pleased.:D
morning all. wow some of you ladies are so young. hehe i feel like a right oldie now.had an ok evening thank you.. it was a bit weird as i had met that girl when she was a bit drunk and she spoke more then than yesterday.. dont know why but i did feel it was slightly awkward. hmmm. wont think too much of it. :0) had a nice glass of French wine (a small) and then we headed off home early as hubby has an interview today, so i went home and while he prepared for it, i cooked a prawn curry with some rice and some chapattis. :0) then we watched the final lord of the rings, and i was naughty and had one of these mini nougart/chocolate bars from Tescos. the little one was enough for me. late night and tired today. we got ice skating tonight. woo hoo! :0)Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
