The nurse that I was seeing to help me lose weight was getting slightly annoyed because every time I went to see her (every 2 weeks) I had put on a kg and my food diary wasn't that good. Also because the Xenical she is giving me is quite expensive, she said it was a waste of the NHS's money if I wasn't trying properly. If I hadn't lost by the next time I see her then she will stop the appointments. The next appointment I could get was in a months time so I now have a deadline to lose some weight.
I decided to plan my meals for the next month and stick to it. I saw her on Friday and since then I have lost 1.5kg :j. That is including going out friday night to a restaurant and having alcohol.
I really hope I can keep to the diet now. I can't exercise so it is all down to diet.0 -
ohh Olokia, someone had tried the Tesco diet on here and lost lots of weight. have a look at that one. you can still eat what i call normal stuff anyway. xxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

That pill sounds interesting Rups. I never know whether to try those kind of things or not, and in the end I always decide I don't want to spend the money! haha.
My 'must try harder' yesterday really didn't work out!! We went shopping, stoped for lunch and had a nice healthy jacket potatoe with beans (so far so good) then we met up with a friend of ours, had hummingbird bakery cupcake (best things ever!!) while at the cinema and then went for a curry! So so so many calaries. heehee.
Today I have had toast, and just had subway so not brilliant but not too bad. Lots more bread than I normally have but we have very limited stuff at home...must must must do shop later!!
My aim for this week is to have stayed the same; we have had an indulgent weekend and I only managed to loose 3 lb last week due to being ill.0 -
Ah Em that is so good that you lost 3 lb (even though when you were ill). Its sad that yummy food tastes sooo nice. grr i hate thinking about food ALL the time. The pill seems to be doing its job for me, so far.. (touchwood

normally i have to eat a snack at 11/11/30 ish or before i go to the gym, and today i missed the snack as wasnt hungry. so all i have had is a pot of granola with yoghurt in the morning, and then for lunch i was slightly naughty and had a lovely chicken tikka panini with a pack of crisps, and i am full. i could have done without the crisps but its habit to eat with a panini.nasty habit. oh and having pepsi max. hehe
lets see how long i last now till dinner.;)Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Thanks but tried Tesco diet and the Sainsburys one. I didn't like them.
I went to bbcgoodfood website and clicked on low fat meals and just chose quite a few meals from there. I am also using a website to track my food. The nurse is also giving me Xenical. I lost weight this way 2 years ago but I could also exercise then so I have to try even harder this time.
My main problem is I start a diet and it goes ok for a few weeks. I lose hardly any weight so I think whats the point and give up. This time I have my wedding to try to keep me motivated so I'm hoping it will work this time.
I find it hard to stick to a diet because until 6 years ago I could eat whatever I wanted and still be underweight.0 -
i understand and sympathise with you. I gained weight after i had my meningitis and ever since, i have always battled with it. i cant do these diets and as all i think of then is food and feel so miserable so i stuck to eating whatever i fancied but with exercise... I maintained my weight that way but whenever i stop the gym, i start gaining. so am trying to be better this week. have to cut down my calories as well and that pill is helping. I decided to be brave about that pill after years and years of no diet/pills etc.. i have never taken diet pills so this is my first, and i dont know what made me try it so quickly, esp as it takes me ages to decide and then back out!
a friend of mine lost a lot of weight making loq fat recipes from the bbcgood food site. they have yum recipes..:0)Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

I am finding it really hard too. I really want to do lots of baking and eating yummy stuff but I also really want to be a slim bride and I just try to keep telling myself that. SO if I am heading towards the chocolate/other junk food I try to make myself think about the dress and looking amazing on my wedding day. We are spending a fair amount on the photographer I want to look as good as I can in the pics.0

Same here! I need to do better, much better.
I'm going to pledge that, for November, I will not touch any junk food of any type.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi everyone,
Please can I join I need serious help
I'm not getting married until 2013 but my weight is out of control this year and I really need to cut my habits.
A few years ago I did weight watchers and lost 2 stone and managed to keep at that weight of 10 stone 6 pounds. A little while after I dropped down to just over 9 stone due to stress etc and managed to keep to this until the end of last year. But since then I have gone way back up to over 12 stone  that's more than I originally weighed before weight watchers. I'm on 5 foot 2 so the extra weight really shows!
My eating habits are bad and I'm in a bad routine, my fiancee is doing slim fast and has lost 1 stone 7 pounds in about 6 weeks and his doing really well! We were supposed to help eachother and I feel like I'm letting him down
My family are always commenting on my weight and it's really annoying me.
I've bought my wedding dress in a size 12 and it fits lovely apart from the back. I really want to get down to my original size 10/12 but just don't seem to have the motivation which is stupid cause I have my dress to fit in to
I think I'm going to need to post on here to chat and keep me on track
Sorry for the whole essay
