Hi Ali and welcome to the tread

Congratulations on your engagement and well done on your weight loss so far.

I've got just over 6 months to go but have been been 'dieting' since the start of the year (we only decided to start with the actual planning a few months) and I would like to loose another 35 lb but not expecting to loose it all before the wedding in all honesty. I would have to say the age old thing of eating healthy and increasing your exercise is the way to do it (believe me I know how easy it is to say it and how hard it can be to stick to it at times!). The way to not put it back on by the time of the wedding is to think of it as a life style change rather than a diet as such. Allow yourself the things you love still, just not all the time, don't give up if you have a bad few days.

    These are from a friend.

This is my favourite picture so far. I think cause we look so happy, and the angle of OH's coat makes me look super thin!

(Edit: These don't seem to have loaded up. But you can see them from the photostream link. Favourite pic is the black and white dancing one.)

Cake cutting: I quite like this one of me too.

Decorated that cake myself! Marks and Spencer fantastic cakes.

Balcony photos: photostream This was very hard to take, as it was sort of dark, and the fairy lights were bright, and a high domed dark roof above. So lots of average shots, but I am hoping the professional photographer got something good.

More pics on the photostream at flickr, including from the morning and someone who took (unapproved) shots in the church, against the priests orders!

    Hello all,

Well I've been to the gym before work today and yesterday, which I'm pleased about. I'm one of those people that says at the weekend that 'I'll start the diet on Monday', usually as I am stuffing my face with pizza, or in Sunday's case, yum yums from M&S! So it was vital for me to wake up early on Mon and hit the gym.

I would like to lose at least three stone in the next 10 months. perhaps that sounds a bit ambitious, but I am one of those people that believe they can achieve things if they just make an effort!

One thing that I haven't liked about today and yesterday - the gym is only a two min walk from my office. By the time I have arrived in the office, I am still sweating after the heavy workout and shower. Maybe I need to get up 10 mins earlier to give myself more of a cool down period.

    Lovely photos Kmmr :)

Healthy eating is going ok. Yesterday I had breakfast biscuits, then for lunch I had salad with a little bit of cheese, a couple of curried sweetcorn patties and pineapple, had an apple for afternoon snack and then beans on toast for dinner (OH was out so couldn't be bothered to cook).

So far today I have had coco pops for breakfast. Was meant to be going out for lunch with a friend but she has just cancelled so now need to go buy something, will probably be subway. Then dinner is going to be refried bean quedisillas (sp?) so not too bad.

    How's everyone else's week going?

    Hi

Not too bad so far - as trying to be good for SW weigh in tomorrow. So far so good as everything I have eaten today has either been free or a healthy extra. :)

So just have to keep it up... am hoping to have lost the 1.5lbs I need to hit half a stone tomorrow, but not holding my breath. Still need to loose another 6/6.5 half stones after that though. :(

    But guess its a start.:rotfl:

Try and be positive Hadley, a loss is a loss and if you stay positive about how much you have lost so far I find it really helps. I had five stone to loose which is overwelmng but I try and think of how much I have lost already and not how much I still have to loose.

    Hey

Thanks for that... its very true. a loss is a loss. Would just be great to reach that half stone mark.

But I love the idea of thinking how far you've come instead of how far you've got to go. for that. Positive thinking here I come.
