hi girls! hope everyone is ok. ive been ok this week 30mins on the crosstrainer after work each day although did share a couple of bottles of sparkling wine on sat to celebrate 1 year of engagement, oops. im working the day im meant to be measured for my dress so put it back 2 days. fingers croosed i drop at least 1 size.
em - i totally know what you mean but try as much as possible to prepare. have you tried graze boxes? personally i think they are a bit expensive but you can usually get them on offer. they are boxes with 4 healthy snacks. good for work. 3WB6WRD3 is a free box code0 -
I haven't been awful just not as good as I would like. I didn't walk to work as wanted to get in early to get on with stuff before clients came in and didn't walk home as it was raining. So no exercising today
will try and get up early in the morning to compensate. Foodwise today I had porridge with golden syrup for breakfast then homemade sweet potato and butternut squash soup with one slice of bread, an orange and pineapple for lunch. Dinner was some quorn curry with tarka dal and vegetable rice. But have had 2 pieces of cake for snacks (and this isn't any old cake it is a beast! Made it on monday for OH, its chocolate tiffin on the bottom, with choc brownies and red velvet cupcakes with chocolate frosting piled on, held together with melted milk chocolate and decorated with mars chunks and marshmallows on half! yummy but oh so sickly and massively calorific yet somehow I managed to eat TWO bits today...what is wrong with me??)
EDIT: it's not so much snacking at work that I find a problem, as I take healthy stuff and eat my lunch at my desk while continuing working its when I get in and all the stuff is there in the cupboards (which I would feel mean about not having in as OH doesn't need to loose weight and enjoys yummy snacks)0 -
dont be too hard on yourself em. Im not in a position to give advice as ive put on 4lb! i sneaked a peak yesterday and had lost 1lb.... so 5lb in a day? what?! i know its probably just water cause i have been reasonably good but very disheartening
em- can you not buy treat snacks you dont like? tbh i dont buy snacks for the house apart from stuff like breadsticks and homous for me and ham and bread for oh. if he wants crisps or chocolate he can get them at work.how mean. theres popcorn in the house also.0 -
Umm glad I'm not the only one who gets strange things on their scales - mine have now died (which is probbaly no bad thing).
Day of judgement again for me - SW weigh in on Birthday week (Sat 1st).Not looking forward to it, so am trying to be very good all today. OH's birthday today though - so guess I'll end up doing something bad either later after SW or at the weekend.
Oh well sometimes think its good to have a little of what you fancy now and then.
Whoops forgot to say good morning and hope everyone had a good evening.0 -

Don't worry sweetilemon - it's definitely water and/or food being digested. I have been told that 1lb of fat equals 3,000 calories, which means that for you to have actually put on 5lb you would have had to have eaten 15,000 calories above what your body can burn off!Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Well, so the label says but think the jeans I'm wearing are a little generous with their size! They are winter trousers so I aim to fit in them by christmas! I get measured for the dress in 2 weeks, if the girl says I'm still to big for the size down I don't know whether to say just order it or go with the size I am now
I'm pretty certain I'll do it, and would like to lose 3-4 sizes so they smaller the dress the less adjustments which I think would be a good thing but being so expencive I don't want to not fit in it when it arrives! Fingers crossed I loose enough to go the size down! Knew I should have started this diet a year ago when I got engaged or 10 weeks ago when I picked my dress! Argh, why do I always leave it to the last min! Anyway, sorry for the ramble!
I ended up having to take the dress down three sizes and it is fine although I think it ready depends on the style.
I've lost most of the weight in the last eight weeks so I could never have ordered the dress in the right size, and didn't want to risk not fitting into it!
Good luck anyway. I am 2 days away now! Someone said today "wow, you look like you could do with a cheeseburger. Looking fabulous!" I was well pleased!0 -
I do normally buy stuff for OH that I am not that keen on and its fine; it's just this week really as I am stressed at work its really getting to me. I am determined I will go back to normal next week.
I had those breakfast biscuits this morning that Rups had recomended to me. I had them at around half 7ish and am still pretty full. Have to say I am impressed as they don't look like much but are doing the job. Pretty tasty too0 -
What are they? I will have to try them.:T0

I think they are called Belvita Breakfast Biscuits; they are the ones that Lisa Snowdon advertises.
I am just about to have my homemade sweet potato and butternut squash soup with a slice of bread then some pineapple and an apple.0
