Heehee sometimes it is better to live in blissful ignorance! I am now being tempted by the icecreams downstairs. Why is there always such nice food in the kitchen??!
  • I thought it was bad- but not that bad! I thought that and a smoothie would be fine. Around 500 cals for both! Well I really won't be having it again! At least I have a small tea ronight. I am cooking jut for me, so won't be bothered to do anything fancy! Will just be panini!

    Welcome to the thread!

Right, you look like you already know a lot of the things you need to do, most important of which are to eat breakfast and cut out the evening snacking. Keep coming on here for support - a few people post their daily food intake which helps a lot, as you're less likely to indulge if you know you have to admit to it later! Get your H2B on side too - perhaps he'd like to cut down on a few unhealthy habits before the wedding too, or at least can support you in trying to eat healthily.

You have 16 weeks, so if you aim for 2lb a week (the maximum healthy weightloss) you can drop 2stone 4lb by your wedding. Don't go on a crash diet to try to lose more, you'll feel ill and exhausted, which is very bad in the final stages of wedding planning. You'll also probably not stick to a very restricted diet (no-one can :)), so will feel demoralised when it fails.

Good luck hun, just remember that your H2B asked you to marry him, as you are, not on condition that you somehow morph into something out of a bridal magazine.

  • Well Eoin, u have come to the right thread, but none of us really know what we are doing! My advise would be to take one thing at a time, start with the coke, and replace it with water or squash. Tesco do a good flavoured fizzy water, which is really cheap. U will loose more weight if you stay hydrated too, as well as the lost from not having te coke. When you have that under control move on to the next thing, like portion sizes etc.

  • Thank you all for the kind words so far:)

I like the idea of telling what i am eating and maybe it help myself because if i see what i eat i cant kid myself about how good i am when am really not.

breakfast - sausage - bacon - white bap :( but did give hubby to be the bacon hehe

lunch - brown bread sandwich with low fat chicken and bacon with special k bar

dinner - i'll get home about 6.30 - 7pm and have my chicken dinner because it all peeled and ready:) (after dinner i will be hiding upstairs away from the kitchen :) i eat when am bored and hubby to be works until 10pm so it lonely at night :(

i will sit upstair and work out an healthy dinner plan and gym plan, but i am away this weekend for wee night away from wedding, mad family and weird friends but i do promise 2 use the swimming pool and gym when am there:)

i dont really have an close friends i can ask to go to zumba class with me so is it any good on the wii or stick to the wii fit??

if the rain holds off, i do promise to go for a walk if it only for 30mins at least it 30mins of my bum lol

i am currently sitting with an pint of water and stoppin myself from going to supervalu and buying bottle of coke esp when supervalu girls gives me tokens for the b&b deals on at the min, i need save up for are honeymoon:)

also right beside my office has an ice cream shop, the man that runs it is sooooo nice and pops in once a week with free ice cream am sick of sayin no thanks i'll not fit into my dress and eat it out of guilty and greed :(:(

    Hey Eoin,

    Well done you and welcome.

Sounds like you are already doing well - you are making the right decisions.. you just need to stick to them and stay motivated (he he - if only it was that easy eh)... but everyone on this thread is lovely and supportive. :)

I am doing Slimming World - weigh in tonight (wish me luck everyone)... its only my 3rd week, but so far have lost 3lbs. Not much in the grand scheme of things but it all counts.

I'm rather like you - only 5ft and weigh too much. Getting married 25th August next year and in teh ideal world would love to get back down to about 8/8.5 stone.
