    Hey guys,

Glad to see everyone is doing so well and welcome to all the newbies.

Today I am off for my 1st weigh in after starting Slimming World - food wise I (think) have been good, but know I have been naughty in terms of syns as Oh lead me astray too many times in terms of a quick drink here. :o

But if my scales are correct .. I think I may have lost a lb. Not much, but a lb is a lb.

If I've lost I'll come and post tomorrow to let you know. No, thinking about it, I will post whatever I have lost or gained - that way the shame of gaining will hopefully motivate me.

By the way, I get married next August and in the ideal world would love to lose about 3.5 to 4 stone. :o

  • Post what ever you get Hadley! And do it every week! If you have been bad we will take MrsDrink's tip and not speak to you.... It worked for me! I went to the gym (b4 I ran out of money!) don't worry about it too much tho if u haven't lost much or gained. Just concentrate on next week.
    :T
  • Hadley, good luck for your weigh in. Never done that sort of thing, think it mght be good for me!

The healthy eating is not going well...I start a new job 3rd October with 30 min lunch which means no time to go out and buy junk food. I am thinking that is a good starting point for me. In the meantime I will try and keep up the exercise.

i reckon the less time u have for lunch, the better. like you said, you will concentrate on what to eat and not focus on junk. i have been having crips lately, so must must stop!!! cant even let go after the wedding as have to worry about looking ok in a bikini! haha.. thats a joke! think i have to use that as a big motivation thing, as its the FIRST time i will wear one. I dont have a flat belly, but i thought iam not waiting now and will have to wear it, so have to be good!

Thanks guys, Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

I have a lovely healthy lunch here (managed to get organised enough to sort it out last night) but am now stuck waiting as am doing a favour for a colleague, but don't know exactly when I'll be needed. :(

Might have to start some sort of exercise routine.... not sure I can put it off much longer.:rotfl:

sounds lovely Hadley. well enjoy your lovely healthy lunch :) it is very difficult to sort out an exercise routine. i had one sorted in my old job, and now i am finding at time, we have lunch time meetings and if i cant make it to the gym, i get so frustrated. i have to see as well how i do. am also going to miss a few classes next week as have the last dress fitting and a half day to get my hair dyed.. grrr..nothing i can do hey?

ive got zumba now and then will have my boring sandwiches. yuck! :p

Good luck with the weigh in Hadley :)

I am on a healthy eating mission this week. It reached the point where I physcially couldn't stomach any more frozen pizza or oven chips :o

We bought shedloads of veg and fruit at the beginning of the week, and I've been cooking from scratch each day. Very time consuming but worth it to get a bit of variety and some healthier dinners! I've had leftovers for lunch as well, so hopefully filling up on pasta and chilli etc will stop me needing/wanting to snack on crisps and chocs!

Need to get back into an exercise routine as well. I love the intensity of the shred but I keep hurting my knees doing it. It's quite a hard surface to be doing it on I guess. :( I went for a jog last Friday with my sister, so hopefully I can get back into running a few nights a week. We'll see, I'm taking it in baby steps at the mo! :p

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I am currently sitting at my desk eating my lunch reading through the thread for inspiriation! Don't know how you find the energy for all the exercise. I walk to and from work each day (if it's not raining!) which take an hour and half all in all but aside from that I find it hard to convince myself to do any more. I try to do exercise dvd's at home but don't get round to it as much as I want to. My bed is always so good at convincing me I need that extra hours sleep.
Lunch is pretty healthy though, got carrot and cucumber sticks, few mini breadsticks, a mini babybel light, grapes, apple and yogurt. wow listed out that seems like loads! How am I still hungry when its hometime?!
