Hi everyone, can I join in please? I'm getting married in November and my wedding dress has arrived in the shop. I've put on 8lbs since I was measured for it so need to lose some weight before my first fitting! I want to book my fitting for the end of August, so that's my first target - minimum of 8lbs in a month.

I joined WW on Sunday night. I had success with this in the new year and lost 12lbs in 6 weeks (just in time for the engagement party!) but of course my free membership ran out and I let it go and most of it went back on.

I accidentally went over my points allowance yesterday as I had to buy my lunch and made a poorly informed choice! Hit Tesco's last night though, so I should be prepared for the week now and I'm actually looking forward to it as my OH is doing it with me and we're attacking the fruit!

I'm not really an exercise person but I understand I may have to build this in somewhere... I have a second hand Wii Fit but it's hard trying to find the motivation! Am hoping I'll pick up lots of tips on this board.

Hello Chrissy. I'm not sure we're going to be a very good influence. I am living in the gym at the moment because my fitting is in 3 weeks so trying sooo hard to be good

Oh man, I focus on work for a little bit and I miss all the drama, montages and sing-alongs! Here I'll join in: :T

Rups, I'm sending you big hugs. You seem like such a good person, I can't fathom why your family would have anger issues towards you, especially during such a difficult time. That's exactly when families should come together. xxx

And welcome Chrissy! There's lots of tips, support and a generous portion of crazyness on this thread. :D

I think it would make it but you'd need shorts and a sweatband and to be running along when someone shoves a yumyum on a silver platter in front of you. You sweep it away with your arm and keep running.

Hmm, then we could get some don't stop believing as the music, could have Rups doing slow motion Zumba, maybe u running slow motion on a tred mill?!?! Then it ends with like a big band theory last frame, all o us stuffing our face with weddin cake and food!! Ha!

hellloooo missed all the good chats too. :-) welcome chrissy.. we are mad on here. hehe. my friend is on ww and she swears by it. i cant do stuff like anymore so i left it as that is the ONLY thing i havent tried. i could so as future mum in law does that and she is so slim. You also lose weight without exercise so its a good thing i guess.. :0). ?Jo your email made me picutre us do that. lol

ms thanks so much for your sweet sweet words. i feel bad because when i wanted to be there for my sis, she was always angry at me, because she said she couldnt have the life i was having, or be with someone, so the more i saw her, the more she got angry and also ill. so i kind of stayed away and that to my family seemed like i didnt care.:-( that program yesterday on bbc iplayer i watched was so sad about a young guy saying how you cant be angry at everyone as its no ones fault. sometimes when i get into that deep thoughts of family etc i end up feeling so guilty.:-(

Ah, Rups, you don't have anything to feel bad about. I have two sisters and love them both to bits, but we drive each other crazy at times - siblings have that knack! I don't blame you for keeping your distance at times - it sounds like your sister was carrying around a lot of anger and resentment, and unfortunately you were an easy focus to channel that frustration. I'm sure if you could talk to your sister now, she wouldn't be holding on to any of those negative feelings. xxx

Awww Rups, I'm sure she'll be there in spirit. None of that was your fault. It wasn't your fault that she got sick, it wasn't your fault you found your Oh and you did what you did for all the right reasons. It's just difficult when feelings are running high.

Just back from an hour and 20 minutes in the gym. My knee got all twingey during my run so I've had to put on the knee support.
