Hi Everyone,
Hope you all had a good weekend.
I have just totally depressed myself... just by looking at my massive thighs. Its not that its the only bad bit either... thighs, hips, and tummy, though that might be partly due to AF:(
Am now so ashamed of myself. I used to be tiny a size 8 (which is about what I should be for my height (5ft), but over the last while I have put on loads. I have just reached that point of O my GOD how do I reverse this. I get married in just over a year (25th August 2012) and I really don't know where to start. In the ideal world I need to lose about 4 stone.:eek:
Any advice gratefully received.!!:(0 -
Hadley, slow down hon... :0( its def AF (which is what is making me a crazy fiancee from hell right now). I am sure you have lovely areas, so think about those and flaunt those. i know we are never happy with what we have. I have huggge hips and footballer thighs but when i start hating them, i think of the likes of beyonce etc and how sexy they look so i think 'hell yeah, they are in fashion. hehe'. My tummys a bad area too but sometime si get so tired of hating this and that, i just think i am going eat healthy and exercise. you have lots of time and also if you start the two now, you will be fine. every time i think of what my ideal weight is, according to my height (5'3), i panic, as i am overweight :-(
I am trying to eat healthy and eat whenever i am hungry. little and often and exercise. Sometimes the little and often goes out of hand though. lol . dont be hard on yourself.. your OH loves you now the way you are. xxxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

I can sympathise with that Hadley. Main thing to think is you have a year to do it, which is totally realistic if you really want to loose it. I also used to be an 8, and have put on too much. My thighs also my problem, but there is no point concentrating on it. I first almost cried when I couldn't fit in size 12 Jeans because eo them. (I know that is not large, but it was for me...) but the jeans would have been too big elsewhere so now I just leave them.
You have to find a diet that will work for you forever, so unless you can keep them I would stay clear of te fad diets, eat healthy and exercise. Say no to the biscuits etc, convince your self you do not like chocolate! Say I don't like xxxx when offered unhealthy snacks etc.
But remember (although us on the forum all need to believe this) your OH loves u the way u r! Makes sure u are doing it for yourself, and your goals are realistic!:T0 -
Jo, how true is that? we all tend to forget that we get loved the way we are, and if not, they would have vanished by now. The positive thing, we re ALL getting married and that should make us forget the negative things. I am def going to use the 'i dont like' phrase now. Thanks so much. xBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

It does actually work! Don't eat chocolate during the week now (ok has some on Friday as stomach cramps etc) and always turn it down at work! Just turned down yum yum donut too!
There is actually science behind it, (similar to positive thinking), so I rarely crave chocolate now. (again apart from last Friday but I partley blame Codemonkey and her parsley tea!!! :P ):T0 -
Bless you Hadley. As others have said, remember your oh loves you just the way you are. If you want to make changes for yourself to be happier in your own skin, then you need to find a diet/exercise regime that works for you that you can stick to. Please don't panic as you've got ooodles of time (396 days to be precise
)
The no S diet sounds very sensible as it doesn't ban any foods/food groups, and I think eating what you fancy in moderation is easier to maintain than banning certain foods. Other people have lost loads on plans like weight watchers or slimming world, it's just about finding what works for you- there are always healthier options.
If you don't have time to get to the gym then you could dry doing fitness dvds or things on the wii like zumba or wii fit. The shred only takes 25ish mins but is very effective. You may find it easier to fit into your day than having to drive to the gym. You are loved very muchly by others just the way you are- but if you don't love yourself at the moment then you've got lots of options to tone up and improve your fitness, and everyone on here will help you every step of the day
Please don't let it get you down, almost all bride-to-be's want to tone up for their weddings, so we're all in the same boat here :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:Hi Everyone,

Quick question: have any of you tried the 30 Day Shred DVD? I'm thinking about giving it a go...0

I haven't, mainly because I am not sure it would lead to continual weight loss. I think I would put the weight back on. But I have heard great things, so may keep it for an emergency!:T0
