Morning ladies, hope you're all well and had a lovely weekend. Rups, sorry to hear you're no closer to sorting those invites, but glad you persuaded your OH to have a bit of 'you two' time.

One thing to add to the whole skin/spots issue: I have a bad T zone (I look like I've dipped my forehead in chip fat by the end of the day!) and suffered bad spots continuously from my teens into my 20s and then my early 30s. But my skin cleared up a lot when I switched from 'normal' make-up to mineral make-up, specifically Lily Lolo (it doesn't use bismuth, which can aggravate sensitive skin/acne - Bare Minerals does use this, however). They're also cheaper than BM, and sell samples of their foundations so you can try before you buy, so to speak!

i understand how you feel code. evenmy back gets spoty. i have one bad habit of picking spots though, which i know is bad!

Thanks for that Ms. think will look into that. I only wear eye liner, lipstick and blusher on a day-to-day basis. when i go out, i wear the mac powder/foundation. Need to investigate into make up too now just in case it is a factor. i know this is also weird, but as I am indian, i am very hairy. so i get some hair on the sides of my face which i have to get waxed, so when they start growing back, thats also when spots come with them. grrr. hate being so hairy.

Well I don't really wear makeup- any. I just can't be bothered unless I am going out somewhere special! It's only work! So it can't be that for me.

Rups, I used to get awful spots whenever I got my eyebrows waxed. I switched to threading and it definitely helped a lot. The beautician I went to (until I moved house recently) uses tea tree oil on the skin afterwards to help ease any irritation. And I also use aloe vera gel (from Boots) when I get home for a day or two. These days, I usually get maybe one or two pimples (tiny ones) instead of maybe a 4-8 big ones! Not a good look! :eek:

hehe i used to get the spots with threading too, untill i realised that the threading lady HAS to be good otherwise the way they use the thread (too thin, or they do it too fast), they dont pull hair properly and that can cause it too. i recently found one near my work place. shes a bit expensive but i dont care as she has the prefect technique, does it at a reasonable pace and the hair didnt even come back until the end of the 2nd week and into the 3rd week. i was impressed. :0)

I just pluck mine, but get the odd spot between my eyebrows. They're not too noticeable unlike the massive ones I have on my temples at the moment. I wish I knew what was causing it

Wow, that is impressive Rups! I'm still trying to find somewhere decent near where I live now. Although a posh-looking one near work (Malika) has just opened, so I might try there. A bit expensive too, but worth it if the results are good!

def agree though. if they are expensive they may not be good but thank fully i found one in Baker Street (if you are near here) and she is good. :-) code, i think it could be stress. you have been stressed at work and also like when i am about to be on, i get loads.:-(

time for gym.. grrrrroooooaaan.

I am blonde, and my eyebrows are extremely blonde, so I don't bother with that either! No-one would even notice! I would if I started to get mono-browy tho....
