{" BEWARE " BEWATE "
"""DO NOT BUY FROM THESE COMPANIES"""
DO not buy your kitchen from these online companies... Kitchen-Now, Kitchen-Kitchen-Kitchen and Sensibly-priced-kittens same companies using different names.
I had a B+Q quote to compare prices and a chap from the company called to the house to give a quote, which was very competitively priced. foolisly I agreed and he asked for £100 depsit in cash, He said I could cancel in seven days if need be. otherwise the kitchen would be delivered within a week and I would receive a call from the company the following day.
two days later I had not recieved a call, I telephoned the company equiring when could I expect the delivery. They replied they had not yet had the paperwork and will phone in due course.
I was suspicious and looked up reviews on the companies (which is what I sould have done before paying the deposit) which led me to cancel the order.
I sent the cancellation by recorded delivery to the address give to cancel in HULL, The letter has since been returned stating the premisses are empty.
I have telephone the company many occasions since and they keep me on hold or tell me to phone back on diffrerent days.
This is exactly what the reviews were saying, they are quick to take your money but they are not interested in providing customer relations and are rude.
I have since passed this over to trading standards and thay are aware of this company and are investigating....
I am just glad I did not go through with the order and saved endless months os heartache. }0 -
Just posted this elsewhere in case someone searches:
I haven't quite been caught out but thought I would add the name Kitchens Uber to the shocking list of those to be wary of.
My partner contacted Kitchens now (without researching). Called that evening to book an appt. Booked one.
Firstly this company didn't turn up, it was kitchens uber. I was only aware of this after seeing the paperwork that evening when I got home.
To say obnoxcious(sp) is an understatement. Within 5 mins of opening the door I thought the guy had a major attitude problem and was very rough around the edges in his manner. I also noticed that he rarely looked me in the face and had his back to me almost the whole time. He didn't have a tape measure which I found slightly odd. Unless he had been doing it so long there was no need for oneso I gave him the benefit of the doubt of that one.
Also the design that would later be costing me a hundred pounds could've been drawn by my 6 year old. That's where alarm bells started to ring.
The price was great for what it was but there was just something not right that I couldn't put my finger on.
The fact also that you can only pay with cash or bankers draft made me feel very uneasy because what large firm don't accept payment by card unless they don't want to be chased by a c/c company after the customer claims the money back. Dodgy
Others may have a great story about these folks but as I can't find reviews on them i'm wary.
As mentioned in other posts paperwork supplied has the following paragraphs amongst others on the rear:
"In the supply of kitchen goods it is almost guaranteed that one item or more will be MISSING, DAMAGED, or WRONG and before fitting the customer is advised to check all products for defects or missing items, and to report such complaints immediately to the company to our customer service dept"
"Although all efforts to replace missing or damaged items will be within 5 working days, it has been known that some items can take upto 20 working days to replace, and the customer must be aware of this"
Those two quotes stink if you ask me.
"There will be a charge of 100 pounds to cover the cost of design and this will be deducted from the price of your kitchen. The design charge is non refundable if the design has already taken place"
This doesn't really make sense to me. It was a no obligation free quote that was requested.
Someone may have a good experience but the whole thing to me deserves a mention as I didn't even contact this company to start with. Elements of it stink and I don't like being taken for a mug.
Save a bit more money and safeguard it. It just doesn't seem worth going through what these poor souls have.0 -
mcsuklondon wrote: »After my wife gave details on the website (not Future Kitchens). Came a company called "Future Kitchens" with a catalogue from other company. Asked for a deposit of £100, paid already. Checked this company just started for two months with office in Unit 32 M40 8BB, a 86 feet office. Is it 3rd party with some hidden supplier? Any one with their kitchens fitted by them? Should I go on to pay for the rest of the kitchen I ordered? Your answer will help us a lot.
Exactly the SAME address for Kitchens Uber on the back of the paperwork. Personally if i'd have got stung I wouldn't hesitate in paying them a visit but a search on google earth will maybe advise otherwise. Rough aint the word.
I would assume they're buying returns or damaged units and bodging them together to create a full or part full kitchen.
I may email trading standards as it may not help but at least it's another report in the bag closer to them being looked into.0 -
I bought a kitchen from this company after seeing it advertised in our local newspaper. They sent a man round to ‘design’ it at a cost of £100 for 30 mins scribbling on a plan, which turned out to have the wrong measurements. The company informed us that delivery would be on a certain date and that we should organise for a fitter to start the following day, which we did. Delivery did in fact happen on the day arranged and Future Kitchen’s would only accept cash on delivery that we paid. We were informed that delivery would happen between 8am and 5pm so I took a day off work and after wasting a full day waiting it arrived at 9.10pm with a single delivery man who had to be helped to unload and was very hasty to check the items off his list. The old kitchen had already been dismantled ready for the installation of the new one the following day. When the kitchen fitter arrived and checked the items it was discovered that some parts were missing i.e. there was only half a corner unit, no drawer fronts and a larder unit was passed off as the oven housing, which was also the wrong size. My wife is disabled with MS and this left us with no cooking facilities.
We contacted Future Kitchen’s to arrange for the items to be delivered and informed that they had sent a larder pack instead of an oven housing but they insisted that although they had sent the wrong size the larder pack was the oven housing? We waited on the days they said delivery would take place and again I took time off work for the delivery, several times, which never came. We have contacted this company several times each week to insist on delivery and we have either been cut off after hours of trying to get through to them or have had the phone put down on us when trying to get a delivery arranged. Their customer support is the worst I have ever experienced with rude and arrogant staff that will not help with this problem. The last straw came today when I rang and asked to speak to their complaints officer about the shoddy and unprofessional conduct and attitude of their customer support personnel and was ‘surprise, surprise’ put back through to the same people (customer support) who the complaint was about. I spoke to a women who obviously had a chip on her shoulder who promised that delivery would be the following Monday ( exactly the same response we have had for the past 4 weeks) and she informed us that Future Kitchen’s, were working within their contract, which states that missing or replacement parts may take up to 5-20 working days. When I pointed out to her that Future Kitchen’s were in fact way past this waiting period (we have now been without a working kitchen for 6 weeks now) she accused me of shouting at her and again hung up????? There was no thought from them about us living in a house resembling a building site for 6 weeks, or any thought that my disabled wife has to live in these conditions without means to cook apart from a microwave. This company continues to advertise, which is frightening knowing the treatment we have had to endure, and still are enduring.
I would strongly suggest that anyone reading this does not touch this company with a very long ‘barge pole’ as we are now seeking legal advice to recover the kitchen parts or the money they took from us for an incomplete kitchen

Am dealing with issues around products missing and seconds right now. However having done a whois search (registrant lives in the USA, however some redress as the web site is registered in the UK so nominet can deal) and companies house search I have now decided that the best thing to do is call in the police. It would appear, by not answering the phone giving a company name they may have a number of shadow companies .....
I believe I may have been defrauded and as a direct result of that I do believe this is a criminal matter - trading standards too. I advise the same action for everyone.0 -
Penny I really hope you manage to get somewhere with this.
I check these threads now and again and I can't believe they're still going months down the line.
Where is the consumer protection because I don't believe for one minute that you're the first person to have contacted the authorities.0 -
Hi, has any one bought a kitchen from future kitchens? is the product and service ok.
Yes I did the worst thing I ever did trying to sort the problems out you got no chance they do not answer emails, put you on hold and do not phone you back and they they delivered wrong kitchen which was all damaged.0 -
KITCHENS UBER - FUTURE KITCHENS
DON'T TOUCH THEM - THEY ARE A FRAUDULENT COMPANY
I have just been defrauded by these bunch of crooks!!!
It is exactly the same process that they use everywhere - I paid £100 for rubbish design, The driver came round and delivered used flat packs, altogether about 8 major items missing, the cabinet didn't come with the usual factory mark for the fitter which makes the fitter to have to do some craftmanship (costing more!!!), I spoke to the customer service and now they've blocked my phone for calling too many times!!!
In total, I've paid about £1500 now.
The customer service is completely non-existent.
I AM DEFINITELY TAKING LEGAL ACTION against the company.0 -
hi i've just paid a deposit of £100 to kitchens uber...i've read all the reviews on the inernet and i'm worried now..but he did state not to pay the delivery guy untill i've thoroughly checked the kitchen and all the parts upon delivery so if anything is damaged or missing i will not pay..the price he has quoted is a good price...i have my own fitter but they will be fitting the granite worktops but he did say again not to pay them for the work tops until i am completely happy, there are some good reviews i just don't know what to do now !!0

I bet when he arrives he will ask for payment before unloading. And if you refuse, he will drive off, or threaten you with legal action for refusing to pay for something you have ordered. So you will be pressured into paying. That is just a guess, but given the previous comments, it would be consistent.
I had my kitchen delivered by Optiplan, and I paid when they arrived, but before they unloaded. Everything was perfect, and the delivery people were great, so I am not for one moment criticising Optiplan. But I am just warning you of what MIGHT happen once you get off the phone from the sleazy Uber Kitchen sales person, after all they are there to soft soap you so you sign the sales contract.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
