LOL I can them rollups :rotfl:0 -
Errrr, last time I checked Asda were a business. They are set up to make profit. They can charge whatever they feel like (to a certain extent). If you don't like it, go elsewhere.
With these rollbacks, people should be happy they were cheaper for a period of time. But oh no, people have to moan about it when they decide to end a rollback on a product.0 -

Go where ? Tesco, Sainsbury etc all have a similar lack of business morals. It's rare to see someone content with Rip Off Britain on this forum0 -
Tesco prices have shot up lately - and BOGOF's are few and far between.
Very few decent wine offers either............
I have even noticed that our local market prices for fruit and veg are far above what they were a couple of weeks ago.
I suppose they all have to make a profit, but with the supermarket cartels that exist, it makes it difficult to stick to the usual budget.
I can't stand Aldi or Lidl, so just have to bite the bullet and wait for the prices to drop in January. You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
I agree, the bargains seem to have dwindled somewhat. I found that Morrisons have a lot of BOGOFs leading up to Christmas. In fact we did a lot of our Christmas food shop there as their deals on crackers, choccys, etc were V good.
The general stuff though seems to have risen everywhere. I have started to shop about a bit more, like they used to in the olden days.
I got all my fruit and veg this week from LIDL, all half price and excellent, but go first thing in the morning. Some of the groceries too.. e.g Walkers crisps 26 bag for £1.79
All the meat from the butcher at the market. Less than half the price of ASDA. e.g 7lb joint of roasting beef = £10. etc.
Most of the groceries at ADSA, but wine deals at TESCO. It means a bit of running about, but most of the shops are within 1/2 mile and so it's easy to do first thing.
Stuff is creeping up though, .........like Bread is almost £1 a loaf... and not so many deals...NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
I noticed. Alcopops were 3 packs for £10 all year but are now 2 for £8.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

Everything has gone up in all the supermakrets - and npotiocebly so. Last year you could buy 2 litre bottles of spirit for £20, this year it is £25. Bread is extortionate now, nearly £1 a loaf for the decent stuff, and orange juice has also gone up to a ridiculous price. If we go to Tescos we spend £70 and have naff all to show fot it - go to Lidly anbd you can get a whole trolly full of groceries for less than £50 (I know because I do that regularly now - Tescos won't see me increasing their bulging profits)0

NO problem, it's obvious that we are either switched on when it comes to finding a bargain or being shrewd, or we are real sad individuals that need to GET A LIFE... I have not decided which yet...
