So did you walk to work and back then2 miles decluttered
Jojo - hope DD isn't too stressed by it all (I'm assuming that giving up the diet drinks will be the biggest cause for complaint!). As Kazw says, shout if we can do anything to help.
Valli - hope the unpacking chaos isn't too bad
LW - well done on your small victory
Not much done today. A bit of food shopping, cleaning the fridge before putting it away, and then lying in the garden being lazy.0 -
You probably know Jo that i have some experience of Scoliosis in my DD, so if you want any advice or just to chat feel free to PM me. I also have cardio experience as she has a serious heart condition (and a wonky chest wall - including extra ribs).
2 ortho, 1 cardio, 1 respiratory, a GI and a genetics team - its like a really crap game of bingo, we're one ward off a full house at the kids hospital:rotfl:
Seriously though, here if you need me:AThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hugs to you Jo-jo, it's rubbish that these things take so long to be 'discovered'...this is 2011 !!!!!! not 1811.
Scoliosis quite often doesnt present til early teenage years though. Having it from birth is actually quite rare. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
evening ladies
just caught up so replies might be a bit out of date so ignore as you wish:D
mummyroysof3 make sure you start now asking around friends and relatives as to who they had and how good they were - how understanding theyare etc - get a list and speak to the instructors and see how you relate to them - you need to feel comfortable and above all that they understand your nervouseness - maybe start trying to have some quiet moments and teach yourself to relax so that you can use it before a lesson - its all about confidence and once you get going I am sure you will be fine - you will benefit hugely from mhaving the independence for school runs and work - its a great thing to do - well done and the very best of luck.
G&B your journey over the last few months may not have been that smooth but you certainly deal with it 'smoothly' - you are amazing and LO too how you cope with all the problems - I take my hat of to you - hope the exams etc are going well - whats the plans for this hols? last time you decorated the whole flat so is it the Road bridge this time?:p:rotfl:
Hope today's exam went ok - in fact I am sure it did xx
welcome to the thread Al1X, chrisfh & Decluttering - if you havent already then make sure you read post 1 & 2 very thoroughly - and shout if you need help.:D
vanilla (((hugs))) aw honey you are in a difficult position - now this is just my tuppence worth so just ignore and I wont be offended in the slightest - you cant go on just taking it all - its not fair and he is playing on that and your compassion, kindness, the fact that you are a good mother, daughter in law - everything - he is taking the mick!!!! even the CPN had no right to say that to you - if you were not there they would have to deal with him properly and more - you are saving them time and money (that makes me mad - sorry!) its emotional blackmail on all sides - I am sure that his parents have an inkling as to what he is like - they are near enough (in location I mean) to see whats going on - I know its difficult because its their house but I also know that they would not put you out with the children - maybe they would help you find somewhere else - I really really do think you need to start telling them whats going on and get them on your side - if they know then maybe he wouldnt be so quick to take advanatge of you and the situation - yes I hear what you are saying that it would break their hearts but it would be better than when things maybe got tooooooooo bad and you felt you had to leave or even worse things started happening - I worry about you - if I was in your position I would have a quiet conversation with his mother or father whichever you feel closest and maybe tell them something little and build on that - it depends on how and hwen you tell them that you may find it easier then you think and end up telling them loads - you def need some support and they are the obvious choice. they will be devastated but I know they will realise that you have been holding things together. - you can not go like this with very little from him and him spending money that is needed - maybe thats a way in with your inlaws - ask them to speak to him about his spending?
And why doesnt he go and spend some time at his parents and see how that goes - it would give you a breather.
sorry to go on but I dont know how you cope and I am sure loads of the other ladies will say that you shouldnt be 'blackmailed' into staying' because of the children or him - you all deserve a good life - its like someone who uses the sucicide threat to keep a partner - its not acceptable.
Just a thought - a very personal question and please DO NOT put the answer on here - i just want you to think about it - do you still love him and are you happy? Your life is just as important.
(mostly the same as what the others put - sorry to be a P I T A!)
Natty hope you feel better soon
kezlou thanks I am getting there - life is getting more normal but still stuff in the spare room to sort through.
grateful the list is having a holiday for now - 3 weeks already - hope you baby are doing well
ajmoney [STRIKE]bear necessities in auchterarder might be worth a try - she usually has a huge selection - or at least a phone call. [/STRIKE] glad you got another dress sorted out -(((hugs))) strength and prayers for you and painfree days for OH's Dad.
kazw:T:T:T:T:Tthats great - now how did you do it :rotfl:I am still uncontrollable around 16!!!!
sockdrawer hope you get your headaches sorted soon - dont let it go on too long
LameWolf well done - I hope you are suitably pleased with your achievement:T
SSL thats a bit far - good luck I am sure you wont need it though xx
Valli great to here they are safely back
JoJo (((hugs)))) and strength for you both - what a lot you are going to have to cope with in the coming weeks but I hope it will sort out some or all of DD's problems

Just checking in to say "hi", update my list, and say thank you ladies for the migraine sympathy. It seems to be passing off thankfully, although I'm going to make an appointment with the doctor as the type seems to have changed, and they come on so suddenly and so often I'm starting to get nervous about driving etc. Sometimes my only warning is feeling very very flakey and faint, and it's freaking me out a bit. (I know I'm probably being a drama queen, but I feel I can 'fess up to you guys if you don't mind me doing that?)
Got through a lot of the lists today, and also flung the remainder of my magazines to the charity shop across the road. Tomorrow my extra job is to fling a bag or two from the utility-room-going-to-be-a-crafts-room-hopefully. Made a couple of cherry tea loaves :j Scrummy!
I hope you guys don't mind me asking for a bit of motivational support. I do need to stay focused on sorting the flat out so it is "ours". I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself recently about the whole situation because of several things which are out of my control. However that won't get anything positive done, and I need to stop it! So fluffy mules in my direction if you detect self-pity or diversion activities please. I need to do at least two significant things over and above the lists every day which will lead to this flat looking/feeling (and possibly actually being) ours every day. (Hope you don't mind)
ETA Jojo, as has been said before, do shout. Horrible that it's taken so long to acknowledge there may be something wrong when you picked it up before, but honestly, go you for trying to sort it out before they even picked it up. :T:T:T:A
Also ETA while I'm soul searching, I have to push myself to get out of the house and interact with people! Too easy to just interact with folk that come in the shop/my family/and work! (the down-side of working from home) Off FA and at least go for a walk.
Sorry guys, post migraine come-down after earlier migraine euphoria

Just thinking positively at the moment - she's still the wonky, bendy PITA she was yesterday, we just have someone else prepared to believe me when I tell them that she's not 100%. The number of times that I had the serious look and the change of subject to 'so, how are you feeling, mum? Any problems at work or home?'.
I don't know enough about what's going on yet to formulate any plans (or useful questions), so I guess we are just going to have to wait and see what happens next. I refuse to let myself worry about it until then. Which should help Megs not worry about it - already told her that the blood tests were pretty boring ones, which the nurse taking the blood agreed with.
But yes, her main complaints are the bits about the fizzy drinks, getting up early enough for breakfast and not staying awake half the night. Much as usual.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
