G&B I love my Dyson ball. I wouldn't be without it now. I first used one on holiday a few years ago and decided when we got home that I was going out to buy one. I must admit I am sad as I love looking to see what crud it has picked up from my carpet, but then I am ashamed at the amount of dog fur etc that is on the carpet without me realising.. :( It wasn't long after the ball Dysons came out, so this one was relatively new in the market, and I have had it ever since - must be about 4 or 5 years now. I wouldn't swap to any other hoovers either, as I love uprights. I sometimes use my friend T's Henry and I can't get on with that for some reason. It really makes my back ache after using it. Good luck with the exam today too hon..

Thanks, exam was ok ish... Didnt buy the dyson ball, read a few reviews that said the ball marked hardwood floors and didnt want to wreck my floor! Just got the normal Dyson Animal which is what i had before my cylinder and so glad i went back to it.

Good luck with your interview SSL:A

Just got dinner on and will pootle about and tidy up then do some more studying for the 3 exams i have next week:eek:

I was so shattered yesterday that I did nothing, so today have been playing catchup.
Kitchen and living room are both now clean and tidy, hall just needs vacuuming and mopping, dining room will have to wait till tomorrow.
also today have washed dogs beds and been to the college hair salon to have my hair cut.

non recycling rubbish is supposed to be collected tomorrow. I am now hopping mad because they came today instead - it's not what is printed on the sheet from the council and I haven't put my bins out (nor have 75% of the other neighbours). 2 weeks until the next collection and my bins are full:mad: I'm going to give the council a few choice words.

You need to ring them and get them to come back out especially if they have not adhered to published info on collections. Get your neighbours to ring as well.

we have been to see Hop this morning and then went round the local park. The SW's were on their bike and scooter, both tired but happy :) Nothing done in the house but what the heck I reckon it's a lovely day well spent :D

Going to find something for dinner now.

Got the appointment purpose wrong. Not orthodontics today, it's in a fortnight. Right date, right time, but was downstairs in Paediatrics instead.

Where minion reluctantly decided to share with the consultant the information that she has not only been fainting regularly, but that she gets headaches, dizziness, breathlessness, weakness, lack of stamina and pains in her chest like she's being squashed and poked at the same time

She apparently has scoliosis (oh right, the wonky bit in her back that The Bloke spotted - his first girlfriend had it and had her back permanently damaged by it being ignored - so I took minion to the GP over 2 years ago and they said was normal?) so has to see an orthopaedic consultant for that.

And her chest wall is wonky as well. She is also very lanky, underweight and also has a high palate/crowded teeth. So, taking that and her father's medical history into account (two spontaneous pneumothoraxes and cardiomegaly), she's also off to see a geneticist to be assessed for a whole bunch of superscary stuff including Marfan's syndrome. Oh, and she needs an EEG and echocardiogram (I think that's what they said, anyway - I was kind of busy thinking ohshi-oshi-oshi-oshi-the-ba-tards-told-me-i-was-a-nutter-when-i-wanted-her-checked-out-at-age-2, 8, 10 and 11)

She was ordered to give up diet drinks (as apparently they can lower blood pressure?) other than 2 at weekends, drink 2litres of water everyday, go to bed earlier and eat breakfast before she leaves for school every morning. I did like that consultant - even if she forgot to add 'and clean your bedroom'! ;)

Most of the afternoon (following the 45 minute long appointment ) was taken up with blood tests, further blood pressure checks and taking her off for food before having some more bloods taken. We then came home and vegetated in the sunny back garden with the cats.

Going to chase her round to do her room again, as the clothes she collected yesterday aren't in the wardrobe, scrub the kitchen counter and then SOADFA. After all, she may be a bit wonky, she may be a bit over bendy and certainly a major PITA, but that's not an exemption for room cleaning.
