Gardening, housework etc on hold indefinately. Just found out the woman who was sorting out my sister's bridesmaid dress has let us down so I am on a google hunt to see what we can find. Not what I wanted!

Anything I can do to help? I can google hunt too.

2 loads of washing done, and there isn't enough in the basket for a third load, so will have to wait until there is more to clear the basket. Also, the sun cream seems to have stained our clothes an orangey yellow colour. (Don't buy the Mr T Value one, even if it is cheap.) One t-shirt has been through the wash twice now, and has had soda crystals added etc to no avail. I'm hoping that hanging them on the line will bleach the colour out of them, as they are white.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Had a pretty chilling day for a change. Had a rifle through some cookery books to find some ideas for meals for things I have in and I now have a page full of ideas. This to try and get my food shopping costs down a little over the next month and also use up a lot of what I have in eg pasta and rice.

Just done a bit more of the assignment and having a little break before I go back to it. I'm leaving the kitchen today although I did clean out a cupboard today that was full of last years preserving marathon and discovered a few things I'd forgotten about. So now have preserved runner beans out to use at some point and chilli jam and was a bit shocked at how many jars of chutney are there and marmalade. Still is a nice surprise and will use up some this year.

Tomorrow I will be up and out early then come back to do the flying to catch back up then crack on with the assignment.

I'm off now to carry on

    Hello all;

As is usual when Mr LW is working from home, flying is sort of grounded, but luckily for me, some of the list is already done, so it should be relatively easy for me to catch up with the rest over the remainder of the week.:o

Ajmoney major healing vibes for Roy; I do hope all turns out well.

Mummyroysof3 I'm a nervous driver myself – what you need is a kind and sympathetic instructor; that can make all the difference. How you go about finding one, I don't really know (passed my test way back in 1979, and I found my instructor by word of mouth). But I honestly think that's a good part of the battle. Will DH let you get some practise driving, between lessons? That's helpful, too, if you can persuade him. “L” plates on the car, him sitting beside you as the qualified driver and not criticising, and away you go! Good luck.;)

Vanilla (((HUGS))) it all seems so wretchedly unfair on you; I know you don't want to put his folks through any more, but honestly, how much longer can you go on coping with it all yourself? Just my two penn'orth, but given this latest stuff, at the very least I think I'd be inclined to insist on having total control of all the household finances; and if he wants something, even a newspaper or a packet of peppermints, he has to come to you for the means to purchase it. But then, I have a major phobia about debt/lack of money....:o

Nixie hoping your lumpybumpy turns out not to be something nasty.:o

Off to Mr T now..... I may be some time......:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Going down to meet her tomorrow for some dress shopping so hoping to get some ideas before hand. The only must is pale pink, possibly knee length as that is what we were looking at before. I have posted in the July thread and the wedding board too so hoping I can get plenty of ideas before tomorrow. I think my sister is relieved that I have said I will go down tomorrow.

AJ - does it have to be bridesmaidy??
Or are we talking summer dress?
A lot of the girls on the wedding board go to coast or debenhams.
My wedding dress came from marks&sparks. :rotfl:
If you give us an idea of what you're looking for... even vaugely, perhaps we could all come up with some suggestions you could file away and show your sister when you see her tomorrow? Might give you an idea of where to head out to look?
ETA: quick search... http://!!!!!!!/i7yfnA pale pink, knee length? Debenbums :) on the right track?

Flying wise, I have decluttered the worktops and made the kitchen floor safe, it's no longer a trip hazard ;)
I'm trying to keep busy :D
Of course it doesnt mean I've found homes for all this stuff :rotfl:

The original design was based on this http://www.coast-stores.com/lilium%20bubble%20dress/all/Coast/fcp-product/2224681606 so long as it is cocktail length we don't mind where it comes from. Obviously this was quite informal. Apologies for hijacking this thread, I know this is kind of chat related.

Blood results:- I'm normal!!!!! (stop giggling at the back) dropped from 12 very adnormal to 5.2!! (expected range is 4 to 6)

Even the dr cannot believe it, but it is true!!!!

He is going to look at my meds and maybe take me off them, I am now apparently a 'controlled Tye 2' instead of a serious uncontrolled!!

    I am so pleased.............:j:j

    Flying wise:-
