Sad news for all us old punk types out there...http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-13193968
Better get a wriggle on, got to be out in a mo and my car is filthy, filthy, dirty so I'm treating it to a car wash.short_bird wrote: »:eek: Extraordinary performer. I will be raising a glass to her tonight.
I heard this and thought of Triker (because I just 'dabbled' - Triker 'lived the life') - and Short Bird too huh? another punk in our midst? - but very sad...
I too have cleaned my car - because, like an idiot I parked it under a tree (in the sunshine) and of course it got 'dripped' on.
Last night I watched The Suspicions - which I really enjoyed but I kept having little breaks (to do stuff). In one of them I chopped up the crudites from my 'party' on Easter Sunday and turned them into veggie chilli, overnight in the SC.
(The crudites were celery, spring onion, carrot and peppers - they were mainly uneaten and there's no way I can get through all I had left on my own so with some passata, garlic and red kidney beans they have been chillified. I will freeze the chilli. I have other leftovers to munch!)
I have also bleached my worktop in the kitchen - oh the joys of a whie worktop - so it looks nice and clean! Who knew Pimms stained?
I have frogs to eat, though...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

valli i can't watch suspicions, the book was too harrowing. Was it good?
Flying-wise...well i have been creative and designed a little present for my y11s when they leave...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
I've started on the kitchen (walked to the shops this morning then did two wash loads and a bread batch) Bread now rising and the skirting boards, window frame and part of the floor washed. Need to get that area sorted as the new fridge and freezer are due for delivery in the morning and want it respectable as will need the delivery men to take them through the house.
Probably won't get as far as the dining room but my kitchen is two rooms really so will concentrate on that.
Just having a jacket spud and soft cheese for lunch.
Vanilla - I have no advice, just a hug, listen to Triker.0 -
I still have a few things left to do in the kitchen but OHs sister is coming round on Friday and they are things I will do again then so they will definately get done...at some point. I have done the ironing too and will go in the graden when I find where my energy has gone :rotfl:

damn capslock..OK so what seemed like a simple level 1 - wipe down kitchen surfaces seems to be turning into a major spring clean of the kitchen. At least I can SEE the first surface though now! Time for a coffee I think.
