What a nice idea!

Because I'm such a novice gardener, I've been planting the whole seed packet at a time rather than just a few so needless to say I'll have loads of plants on the go if they all grow.

I cant bring myself to bin the excess and was wondering what to do with them...until I saw your post. I'll offer them to the home we have near us and see if anyone wants them. :beer:

There's always some that sneak through which is why I never order anything I wouldn't actually use if it arrived.

Thats a lovely idea, failing that I put mine on Freegle/ Freecycle now loads of my neighbors are growing window tomato and cucumber plants from my seedlings this year. There is Also Seed Swapper where you can add to a seed bank and swap for another kind. if you put these search terms in the forum search box or google you will get detail good luck with your planting.

Local primary schools may also be grateful. I didnt spot this last night or would have ordered for school as the children love planting and schools dont always have the budget for seeds etc but if a few parents donate then it soon adds up.
