Cheery_Daff wrote: »That's what I think whenever I think of BG too Claire - condemned our (fully working) boiler at an annual because they couldn't supply a replacement part (and hacksawed through the gas pipe so we couldn't sneakily turn it back on), only for us to source a part, get another bloke to come and fit it - which he didn't, because there was absolutely nothing wrong with the damn thing in the first place  10 weeks without heating or hot water through the coldest winter for 30 years and several weeks of snow  BG can stuff their gas pipes up their backsides as far as I'm concerned!
(sorry, did that count as a rant??)
Not like you to be so demure;) - come on Cheery - tell us what you REALLY think :rotfl:
Crickett - I would be inclined to laugh hysterically any time cowbaggery presents itself - when she give you the look - you can always claim
"OMG!!!! I didn't think you were ACTUALLY serious!!!!".
Good news - and another big Frog. Got all my costings in for DS2's bedroom - looks like we can sneak in under budget. Just need to get the plumber out to run the hot n cold feeds for the new bathroom and flow n return for a radiator in DS2's room and then will be making "Great Dane" eyes at Mr Fantasia to getthe walls up.
So excited it's unreal :j Might even be able to get the wee lad some carpet before the cold weather:T

Hmm, I bought one of those Android tablets just before Easter, and I don't think it's for me. I wonder if I can take it back. I doubt it.
It is absolutely bucketing down here. Not seen such hard rain for ages...
Yawn xx
I am not in the slightest bit surprised about that quote Calire - they are renowned for being excessivly expensive. They seem to like to cut through gas pipes too. Fools!

Claire have you posted on the DIY board?
There are very helpful peeps on there, and I think they can help when looking at quotes.........0 -
Hugs 'n' stuff to all the people struggling with Monday and cowbags.
I don't think I'm very well - slept until 12 thro' an alarm clock blaring in my ear for 5 hours . Now I'm sat here typing through a foggy haze, headache, aching, hot, very hot - so either I have the lurgy or Mr Thrifty has been spiking my tea with something interesting indeed :rotfl:.
Glad your meeting about ds has been rescheduled Bitsy :T
Today's plan was to paint the front room ceiling - I think that's on hold for the time being. Actually being poorly makes sense because my thinking was "way out there" all yesterday and I couldn't work out what on earth was up with me, coupled with the wildest dreams last night - ok, rambling now, off to take some parrots - eats - em - all :rotfl:.0 -
MG: Thank you for your lovely post over the weekend. I love the idea of your blog - could that be 1 of your 25 ways to raise income?
I follow the baby steps principle, but am going to make them even smaller. Also going to think how I can adapt and use your 24 square idea. Thank you.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

I'm having real trouble finding Mr F to contact to ask to join the other side, can anyone help me please? He doesn't seem to post on this thread and search isn't helping me.
I love the idea of making £100 for groceries last as long as you can. Think I might join you on that one. Might make me think a bit more before popping to Mr Ts. We were doing okay when the DTD promotion was on, but now we're skint again but with cupboards full of beans rice and lentils, and 3 joints of beef in the freezer. Should be able to make the £100 last a while on milk, butter, fruit and veg.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I know people make money from writing on blogs - but I've no idea how they do it.
I wouldn't want a blog that continually linked you up to "hard sell sites" IYSWIM.
Something to investigate though
