You'll have great time. It's an adventure remember? And it doesn't commit you to anything, just gives you more information and resources to help you do what you want to. We're looking forward to hearing all about it when you get home!0 -

Everyone there will feel the same - some are just better actors than others. The people in charge will be nervous, too as they don't know who will be there or if they will really be listening and taking things in.
You are already running a business - a successful one. :T:T You've sold over the web, in a shop and you know the jargon - I saw you use the word 'footfalls' the other day and a lot of people who run shops don't know the importance of that or what the term means.
If you feel panicky, you are not alone. I read in an interview with Annie Lennox that she literally threw up before going on stage - and she still went on and performed.
Make notes, if you don't want to ask questions, email them afterwards when you've had time to think. Trust me, if you are running things like that your greatest fear is that people are not interested.
Positive vibes being sent and we're all looking forward to a full account of it.But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Does anyone else find the cuddlies more of a responsibility than the kids???
Back when I had my "horrible time" I was sent a care package by someone / some people on here. There were fluffy socks, lovely smellies a book, some chocolate ................ and a pink poodle doggie (I think it is a screen cleaner for your computer)
DS2 latched onto said poodle and ever since "Mary" has been his constant companion - yup!!! his fave toy is a fluffy pink poodle called Mary!!!!:rotfl:
Mary gets taken in the car, shopping,to the beach, out on adventures and lives in his box whilst he is a playgroup so that he can tell he all about everything he is up to. Mary has her own doggies bed (shoebox) at the bottom of his bed. Mary has to be present when bedtime stories are being read "to keep away the monsters". Mary's favourite show is Dr Who -so DS2 has to stay up to keep her company.;)
I live in constant fear of Mary going missing - the world as we know it may come to an end:eek:

Morning All, Yesterday turned into a day from hell! The dentist said there was nothing wrong with my teeth:jbut go to the doctor now. I have trimengal neuralgia:eek:and gosh the pain:eek:Whilst climbing the walls yesterday I was thinking about The Matrixes. Desperately, trying to think of a positive:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Got some mega strong medication, was in bed by 8pm and eventually slept. I got up and found the radio and went to sleep listening to Classic FM.
Not sure how long I'll be awake today, but just going to pootle whilst I am awake.

My brother quickly realised that it was a good idea to get a twin for "Snowy" the snow leopard for his DD1 and swap them over regularly so that they are wearing at the same rate.
My sister has done the same with Peter Rabbit for her DD, so if the worst comes to the worst, there is a spare hiding in the wings.
Phone calls were not returned yesterday so I will need to chase them all up today.
Sunflower, I too must update my CV today to apply for a job - the closing date is on Friday. It's 10 hours a week (to cover maternity leave) and a junior position so after not working for 4 1/2 years I think it's a good place to start.
Also today I'm going to catch up on the other side - I've not been over for a while as I've been a bit overwhelmed with paperwork and getting the car sorted. I have paid a deposit on one but getting the adaptations organised is proving more difficult than it should be.
Hopefully I can get it all sorted today.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -

been there and done that  Ds was given a rather expensive Steiff bear when he was born by my grandparents and "Franklin" became his constant companion and had to undergo muzzle reconstruction because of nose chewing  A second one was bought (at a cost of £30 ) but "Franklin's brother" never fooled DS, and why would it, it was pristine :rotfl: Anyway poor "Franklin" was lost in the supermarket and I am not kidding it felt like a family member had died:o:o Fortunately "Franklin" was handed in to lost property and recovered the next day. He has however been slightly abandoned as DS doesn't currently like his dark eyes in his bedroom at night but the fact that he doesn't carry him everywhere makes me sad as it's a sign he's moving on
