Try to find interesting things to do to keep you awake crickett, and if you feel yourself nodding off, find a reason to get up from your desk and walk to see someone else in the farthest corner of the office or in a different building if possible. Make sure you get your fresh air at lunchtime!
Really must get off my bottom and go for a quick run, then breakfast, and then plan the rest of the day...0 -
Good morning

Morning all, MG Mum did tell me about the rain last night. I tidied the wardrobe and finally moved the last of my winter coats to under the bed, along with my wellies and she warned me that I may need to dig them back out. My answer was of course that it would have to rain on my bare feet as Liza deserved a nice heel!!!
Had a very productive night last night. Took all my recycling out, had a hoover under the bed, did some wardrobe sorting and had a check over my holiday clothes. Got plenty of beach stuff but could do with 1 more out to play item. I've seen a frock I like so I'll look out for it in the sales. As you all know I love a wardrobe sort out. Out of season stuff lives under the bed to give me more room in the wardrobe for stuff I'm wearing now.
Marru, dont know much about the other thing but if you need a hand with the wardrobe bit, just shout. It feels so much better to have stuff you like, wear regularly and fits well hanging there when you open the door. I could witter on about this for hours but better away and wash my dishes and get ready for todays gym sesh. XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
AAAAArrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
That's better!!!
Only 40 minutes on hold with the CTC people - just doing the cancelling of Childcare part for DS2 as he is now on holiday and will be funded when he goes back after the holiday.
I have however confirmed that they have received my renewal (although it hasn't been processed yet) so fingers crossed that we have muck-ups like last year when I had no money for 6 weeks.
Still big froggie well and truly munched

Well done MG
All those baby steps are going to add up.
Talking of which 8 haven't managed to get out for my run yet this morning as I was tired when I woke up and then discovered that my iPod wasn't charged. I'm also a bit creaky (worked this out when I went up to the shop for a paper) so I'll head off for a walk first, then hopefully a run. It's due to rain later so I'll either head off into town (different one) or watch rubbish on TV while working in some presentation slides.
Better get going... The clouds are moving in (maybe I'll get out of going for a run)
Claire - hope everything is ok... Can't get on to the other side till I'm back home as haven't set it up on the iPad, but if you think I can help, PM me or use the email address I've posted over there.
ETA - on my way back I saw the local dog walker picking up and thought of Willow... He had 4 small dogs of various descriptions and was collecting next door's Burmese mountain dog...

On my limited income (at the moment only) baby steps are all I can achieve.:D
Mind you to go from 71p to paying down my mortgage is pretty darn whizzy:j
I have pencilled in the Mind Map - will cook some lunch and then take a break before inking it up to get in the post later. I am still pretty sore from the Osteopath yesterday so trying not to sit for too long.
............ and still its raining!!!

When I got my mortgage I was considerably less than yours, but I was earning so little it was a real struggle to pay it each month. I used to be in tears at times trying to work out how to make ends meet (and there was only me...). I probably wasn't very good at managing my money at that point either, as I was only in my mid-twenties. As I've earned more i've increased my overpayments (as well as having some short, medium and long term savings that I'm slowly building up) and it's on track to be paid off in about 3 years. I could pay it off faster, but I think it's important to have the savings too. And to do some of the other things (like the bathroom, which is being done in august ... So I need to get on and choose tiles...) and enjoy life. I guess you get to a point where you feel reasonably comfortable with the way things are going. I'm also lucky that my mortgage overpayments can be used for a mortgage holiday or drawn down, so they're all part of my strategy for managing any future financial crisis.
Went for a VERY short run... I am seriously unfit, but I've done it, so now I just need to keep going, every day, and one day it won't be so hard :cool:0 -
Greenbee, sweetie... you have gone for a run, so you can't be seriously unfit. I can't even run in the first place. THAT is seriously unfit!!
It's all relative isn't it.
I have some very good news to report. I had to buy lunch at work today and I was on automatic pilot when I went down to get food. Picked up the sandwich I always have, which is okay... and then picked up a bag of crisps and a chocolate bar. I replaced the crisps with a bag of French Fries (which I actually like!) but kept the chocolate bar. So, I came back upstairs to have my lunch. Snarfed the sandwich and happily munched the French Fries... but when I got to the chocolate bar... I just didn't want it. So I gave it to LadyJ who is our resident chocoholic. The reason this is serious progress is because before I went on the anti-d's, I would have snarfed everything down (and bought horrible crisps I don't even like and STILL eaten them). MUCH better!!My mood is still going up and down like a yo-yo, but at least things are improving.

Crickett - the mood is going to go like a yo-yo for a long time, the thing is to recognise it what it is, give it a pat and know that with rest and finding what ever works for you it will pass, it always will.
And about being unfit I don't have the energy to run at the moment and I have finally come to terms with it.
I have found a solicitor so I don't need to go to court on Friday on my own. It is going to cost a fortune  but has to be done. Off to photocopy some documents..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
