Welcome Alison... and please stay out of lurkdom...its so much more fun that way!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440

Morning (just) Matrix-ers
Lots to catch up on I see
Crickett - Well done on getting some help. I hope your GP and Occ Health can give you the support you need xx
40SM and FW - positive vibes as requested heading your way, sorry if I am too late and a dollar short
Alison - I agree with Crickett - don't lurk come and join in the fun
lionheartedgirl (I love your user name) my friend played the harp at school. It was always so beautiful I really ought to look up some harp music to play as a pick me up when I need it
Positive vibes harp can be fixed so you can make your and everyone else's hearts sing in the pub tonight
Awful nights sleep again with DD so walking zombie again. However she was a little angel when I took her up to Aldi for the weeks shopping so can't complain about her too much
Not really feeling up to doing masses today, have put the vac round, need to do that upstairs too. need to do some baking aswell before school runs start.
I completed a mind map based on reminding myself about the abundance in my life and I confess I am rather proud of it. H rather liked it too and it's now proudly displayed on the kitchen cupboardGot another one to complete regarding the Road to Slim-ness so might do that this eve or tomorrow depending on whether I can keep my eyes open
I am definately finding this eating more protein at breakfast and lunch beneficial. I didn't snack at all in between meals yesterday and I haven't so far today eitherI do think what's also helping is not spending as much time on the computer, being passively engaged in the world online rather than actively getting stuck in to the things that need doing at home was a massive disservice to myself.

Lots of positive vibes needed this morning. I am just about to call the HMRC to ask if they will allow me up to the end of September to pay my tax ( it is now very overdue). Please send lots of vibes to make them say YES!.
Thank you very much.
40SMXX
Thank you all for your positive vibes. Well they didn't say YES but they didn't say No either:) It is being passed to another department. The lady who I talked to said just to keep on paying daily as I am at the moment . I have promised to pay £50 per day:eek: ( not easy !) to ensure that it is paid at the end of September. I have to just keep chipping away at it and hopefully the tax man will leave me alone.:o

but would also like to ask for some myself please
I am possibly playing my harp tonight for the first time ever in a pub with a band, for a jam/open mic kind of night.
My harp has some minor techy gremlins - it's an electric one so some loose wires I think - and I am hoping my friend can help me fix it (at his bike workshop of all places :rotfl:as I know he will have an array of tools to try!), and if we can mend it, I will go to the pub. If we can't fix it, I will take it as a sign that tonight is not the night, and will just go to listen.
I really, really, want this, it's a big part of the master plan so am hoping it all comes together. And if it doesn't, there will be a reason for it that has not yet been revealed! :rotfl:
Lots of positive vibes being sent your way , sweetie.

Alisonpennypincher wrote: »Hi Ladies,
I am just popping out of lurkdom to say that you're all fab!
The positivity and energy from this thread is infectious, so much so that in the last 4 days i have started on my massive Frog.... decorating my lounge/diner.
I have stripped all walls, painted some woodwork, decided on and bought wallpaper, and......Taken apart a kitchen cupboard that had one of those pull out lader unit things in it (waste of space IMHO) taken down the cupboard, and knocked through the wall into the under stairs storage area that i have been wanting to do for the last 8 (:o) years!
I feel fab, and although i am not doing any decorating today, (shift at charity shop this afternoon followed by swimming after school) i hope that Thursday and Friday i can finish all the woodwork and possibly paint the ceiling.
So Hugs and positive vibes to all that need them and a great big Thankyou to you all from me.
P.S MG i shall be looking at making a pantry type cupboard out of my under stairs area, so will be looking forward to getting a store cupboard going like yours.
Keep going ladies, remeber .....it's on it's way!:D
You go girl :T:T:T. I have two more jobs to do in our front room to complete it but "life" just keeps getting in the way - darn kids :rotfl:. Can I call mine kids at 19 & 16 < shruggy shoulder icon>.
Hugs and positive vibes to all that need, Thriftyxxx0 -
thanks everyone, the vibes have worked for step 1 - the harp is mended! with a tiny allen key twiddled in 3 holes, all is fixed :j :T
and the price was a brief demo in my friend's workshop :rotfl:
my harp was laid on the bike bench (hilarious in itself, it was lifted up and everything!), the head mechanic was dispatched to fetch the extensive range of allen keys and off we went
I am very relieved
Bitsy how cute is that smiley! I feel honouredit even has little red strings like a proper one! (and thank you on the username - it is from a Florence and the Machine song called Rabbit Heart - "I must become a lion-hearted girl, ready for a fight" - all about stepping out of your comfort zone! they use a lot of harp as one of their writers is also a harpist so it was quite apt!)
so will head off to the pub this evening and see what occurs
a great first step 40SM, hope it all gets sorted soon.0 -

I am absolutely "cream crackered" - getting up at 5am to write is all well and good, but this afternoon had a meeting that I had to be on tip-top form for - and now I am a little ragged around the edges.
Had a meet with one of the guys who used to be one of the "head heid-yins" in Kleeneze - and I had a fabulous time picking his brain about all things business, Matrix and "Next Best Things" - well I have decided my lovelies to find us something fabulous to look at - so fingers crossed.
I have completely stunned myself at how clued up I am on business!!!!!!!!! How come i have forgotten that I used to hold court/conversations with top business people on a regular basis... so much for living up to my name:rotfl:
Need to go and have a wee rest before taking DS1 to meet the Astronauts tonight.
Happy Harp playing BTW(muso friend of mine swears by sending his intentions out on waves of harp music - something about waveform / brainwaves / alpha states etc, I wll check out the references, but just in case, send us the vibes tonight and will bounce it around the Matrix to those who need.:D

I can live with that image lionheartedgirl - playing the harp in a mechanics garage . Glad it's all fixed.
MG, I take my hat off to you, getting up at 5am to write :T:T:T. Enjoy your well-earned kip.
I thought that as kids get older they are supposed to take up less of your time, not more. 4 hour round trip to take dd to physiotherapist - she has clicky, grindy, poppy, painful knees that apparently are the result of uneven muscle development around her knees. She now has a set of exercises to be done 3x a day for a month, to start with.
Right-ho off to make tea. Hugs to all and hope today has been a bit easer for you Crickett.0 -

Crikey 40SM
Do you actually owe the money or is there an error of some sort?
Will this happen next year or will it be ok?
