(((crickett))))) did you see that animated documentary about Relate last night? Rather poignant and moving.
Have been sat here for nearly 45 mins now - finished breakfast and cuppa, have posted goals list on my diary, and now to ACT! Have got 45 mins before I need to go to the docs, not enough time to get dressed AND start work, but enough time to get dressed and repot a seedling or two :j Mini steps...0 -
Smooth moving vibes, Marru.
Hope all goes well at the hospital, FW
crickett - hugs
TMIF  One advantage of being solo is I may not have much, but I'm the one who controls what it needs to be spent on.0 -
Morning All,
Firewalker: Positive vibes and hugs coming your way.
Maura: Good luck with the move.
Have created my plans from June to end of November and feel much more positive for having taken some action. Going to create a timetable - there is 30 days in each of those months, so I'm thinking monthly target for square 30 and a weekly task. It's work in progress and will put more details on my diary.
Have realised though whilst thinking about this that despite a very tight budget it is important to have some SPENDS each month - for the odd treat or something more, so going to try to factor in maybe £10 a month. What do you think?
Breakfast and then a bit of tidying, create my timetable and maybe some more in the garden.

Yes. Definitely. More if you can afford it!
What sorts of things count as treats? Make a dream list - we can help x0 -
Crickett, hugs for you. I didn't know things were bad either. So many revelations on here. Goodness!!!
Right away to get ready for work X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

Oh my goodness, that has really pulled me up:eek: realized as soon as I read that that I have become so lost in all this that I have no idea of what is a treat. Todays must do is now to come up with a dream list - will post when I've come up with one.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Yes, I did see a bit of it. I agree, it was very powerful. But very positive as well I thought. Might watch it again on Iplayer at some point. And maybe hog tie DH to the armchair so he watches it as well."A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
One I enjoy is Fish and Chips on the Barbican - sitting on the wall looking at the boats with (the soon to be leather clad biker boy) His Fugliness x
I like little walks in the country with an ice cream at the end. (oh dear too many food related ones, but I do love food really)
I like to buy myself a new book and devour it (I get more books for my ££ if I go to the charity shop, but I like the smell of new ones)
I love to do cross stitch, so anything new in the cross stitchery dept is a treat... infact my dream life would be cottage in the country with a little stream, and a shop - which was a book shop, craft shop and tea shop. My three favourite things. Books, crafty bits, and tea0 -

Do you think they understand that level of subtlety? I am afraid not...
I think they'd miss the point, even if you hired a plane to skywrite it.
I am afraid that when it comes to matters of the heart (and emotions, and such like) they are dumb, blind and stupid. They need it explained to them, very slowly, quite loudly, and in words of no more than 1 syllable.
Have to love them(To borrow Crickett's best phrase - Can't live with 'em, can't bury them under the patio
)

I think that's me!
I've thought about this and so far have come up with:
Treats:
Books
Plants
House nick-nacks
Fabric/ crafty bits
Dream List:
1) To see something I like/want and buy it then.
2) a job/working for myself doing all thingscreative and home made/home grown.
3) Weekend away for OH's 50th birthday (2 years time)
4) Holiday
Ultimate dream as TMIF's or to buy a house in Malta.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942
