    Bitsy - good night out?

Yes thanks :D There was dancing, some drinking and I pushed friend in direction of bloke she fancied from the garage that fixes her car who happened to be at the pub. Nowt happened between them but he did go home alone ;) (assuming he's not married of course :rotfl:)
PS can anyone suggest a way to clean the fabric part of a sunlounger? It won't come off the frame to go in WM sadly. It's been in parents shed for year or so and I've gained it :) but it needs a clean.

I'd use a sponge or nail brush, washing machine powder in hot water. Give it a good scrub and leave it somewhere sunny to dry off completely.

Late night last night, no hangover though ;) Pottering about at home although might take kids for a walk later.

Making choc buns when dough is finished :D Nothing else to report.

Camelot - stick with the mirena. It took a year for my spotting to go completely. Only issue I have with it is bloating and sore boobs, both of which I never had before being fitted with it

Welcome to Moorhen and Lovecrafting :D

OK better get on and do something productive ;) Have a great Easter Sunday and hope the kids haven't OD'd on chocolate yet ;)

    Hugs and spoons xx

  • rosie, hope the leg is ok.

I suppose NHS is better than being in 3rd world;)

When I lived in France and Spain the care and facilities were far superior to ours.....ok it wasnt totally free but maybe that is the problem over here....the UK is a whole different country from what it was when the NHS came into being. We are too overpopulated and free healthcare for all here will not last indefinately, it is not sustainable with the rate of over population and immigration. too many people in this country now who pay nothing in but expect it all back for free.

People who do not work within the NHS have little idea of what a state it is in:(..that isnt me trying to be funny by the way

    Morning All

Been up for ages as my neighbours son decided to play his music really loud . Wouldn't mind but he knows I work nights, just because he can't be bothered to go out and earn a living! Anyway sorry to moan.

Have made a lovely chicken and pasta salad to take to work with lots of chilli and fish sauce on it. Really looking forward to it at 2 in the morning. Also been out for a lovely long walk. Last couple of days have been no spend days for me so it's all good. My bank balance looks quite healthy at the moment but I know it won't last.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter folks.

:rotfl: What a way to welcome the newbies!! (welcome both, some of us are normal here ;) I think!!)

    Bitsy - glad you enjoyed.

I've had a thoroughly lazy day :D sunbathed til early afternoon on the balcony whilst reading, then pottered around the flat. Then went for a walk on the beach :). Not done any uni work tho :o it can wait til tomorrow.

Gonna have veggie burgers in rolls for dinner and eat on the balcony. When my friend comes to stay next week I'll get some disposable BBQ's to use out there but not much point with just moi.

    Have a good evening all

Moorhen and Lovecraft welcome from me too. You will love it so much here, but beware... it is seriously addictive.

Anyhoo. Went to the Nhs walk-in-centre to have my leg looked at. Got a script for some antibiotics and strict instructions to go immediately to A&E if it starts to track up my leg or if I get any systemic symptoms like a high temp. I really hope the ABs work, as I really don't want to end up in our local hospital on IV ABs. As much as I appreciate the NHS, I have had negative experience too. As an ex-nurse, I am reasonably confident that I can get over this easily enough if I'm careful.

I had really wanted to get up to the lottie today as the kids are out, but there is no way. Have spent the afternoon forced to lie on the bed with my leg up on pillows, reading one of my old Bill Bryson books ( notes from a big country). It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it:-)
Got out of cooking too. Dh will cook later when he comes in from football, and he will buy himself a sandwich tomorrow at work. It's just too painful to stand for more than a few minutes.
Hope you all had good days and didn't indulge in too much chocolate. We haven't had any here as we don't celebrate Easter, but I will look out in Tesco for their reduced eggs and buy some in. There's just something about Easter egg chocolate that's different from other choc, isn't there? Especially the thick bit at the bottom. This is torture!!!! I have no chocolate and no prospect of any til at least Thursday!
And the neighbours are having a BBQ which smells very yummy. Might have to limp downstairs and have one of my 15s that I just remembered about!

    Hi all:beer:

Well, after my little scare yesterday, I've been taking it very carefully today, most energetic things I've done are making egg and sausage salad for our dins, and washing two doormats (they're the type you can sling in the WM).

We had a nice “walk” this afternoon, out for 2 hours, Mr LW actually walking, me on the mobility scooter. Good job we had a map with us, or I think we'd still be out there, royally lost!:D

Rosie that bite sounds nasty! Was it a horsefly or something of that ilk? I agree with the others who have said to get it looked at. Ah, reading more of the thread, I see you have; hope the ABs do the trick.:o

Bargainbird hmmm – Mr LW had a similar experience once – went for the interview, what they actually wanted, but didn't say in the advert, was someone prepared to be away from home 3 weeks out of 4, living out of a suitcase, and happy to break speed limits at will in order to make it from one end of the country to the other in time for appointments that management set up. Hope your DH finds something suitable soon. Lovely chicks, btw.

I was checking my records yesterday, and realise it's 22 months since AF reared her ugly head – I wonder how long til I can assume I won't have to deal with her again?
