    morning all,

I am here procrastonating, trying to not spend any money today, its going to be the first day in over a year that i havent even spent a penny.. maybee anyway, im already looking at the 4 pints of milk we have and having a nervous breakdown thinking we will run out/die if we dont get any more..what a loon eh.

camelot I had the implanon fitted and it stopped AF for a wile, i had to have it removed because my arm went akll minging and swelled up/stank/went green but other people get on fine with it. (altho they no longer fit it in certain areas)

i think i might have to bake or something today or get cross stitching...i am not getting dressed today, that way i cant go to the shop...there is a logic there somewere.

    morning:D

Cooled down a bit here...had a fantastic storm yesterday, hailstones the size of pound coins! ripped my garden to shreds ,huge holes in the rhubarb leaves and cut up my new flowers:eek:. We rescued a little cat who got stuck in it bless her, she jumped in through our kitchen door. Pics of all this on FB;)
Having roast chicken today which DH says he will make.
Have to go and do my easter bunny thing soon for DS coming back at 12.
I drop little eggs in a trail to the big ones and DS thinks they have fallen from a hole in bunnys pocket:T
    xx

the hailstorm was fab wasnt it ? we had nextdoors 2 cats sheltering in the kitchen doorway , they must have been scared to death bless them
DD2 went out to catch the hailstones and she said they hurt when they hit lol
our cat just sat under a chair and watched from a safe distance
the only damage in the garden was the peony has been battered down

i love the eggs falling from a hole in bunny's pocket :T

we are going to do an easter egg hunt in the garden later , kids are so excited and they are 15 and 17 lol

BB sorry about the job - the chicks are lovely

lamewolf hope you are feeling better today x

PS can anyone suggest a way to clean the fabric part of a sunlounger? It won't come off the frame to go in WM sadly. It's been in parents shed for year or so and I've gained it :) but it needs a clean.

have fun all you boot sale goers :D i'm very jealous!
bargainbird, there will definitely be better jobs out there!
flutterby, a good sponge clean should do the job

Happy easter all! We're off to my aunts for a big easter lunch with all the family later, my family have been entrusted with puddings and my sister is really going to town. She has a real knack for baking. So far there's a NY blueberry cheesecake and profiteroles ready, with brandy snaps, lemon tart and meringues on the way!!
I'm still feeling restless and will be off on a peaceful six mile walk soon after I finish the washing :)
Bits of printing and packing to do later, but otherwise a nice relaxing day!

    Happy Easter everyone.

HAve not posted in a few days and I've not done much OS'ing and to be honest neither will be today.

Off to mum's for dinner so no need to cook.

Just had a bacon sandwich then were off to the garden centre to get some soil to plant DD's potatoe's she got last weekend. OH put her greenhouse up yesterday. She is only 9 but she seem's to have an interest in growing things so we will see how this goes.

Washing in TD as there are dark clouds hovering above. Will put in another wash and maybe a bit or ironing but nothing more.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

Kids have just gone off to their friends' granny's house for the day!!! They really enjoy going there and will get well fed, so that's less meals to worry about for today!
Just made a batch of fifteens, well, sort of, without the cherries. Waiting for dh to come home from car boot, and then taking myself off to the NHS walk-in centre to get the old leg looked at. Knelt down on floor to help dd2 get dressed and could hardly put any weight on it when I stood up. Felt like it would explode! How blessed are we in this country to have the NHS..... get seen, get treatment, on a BH weekend, all for free! I really appreciate it when I watch footage of people in other countries struggling just to stay alive.

(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

The NHS really is incredible, we should all stop moaning about the teeny tiny delay at the doc's and be grateful :j Hope your leg is okay!

I know, but compared to in other countries, which I have experience of, we are very lucky here.

    Eighth Anniversary
    Hi everyone
I have been reading this thread for a while and have decided it is about time I joined in.
I am a middle aged mother of 3 and I work full time so my postings may be a bit intermitent.
I try to make meal plans for each week so I don't waste any food but with the children on holiday at the moment all the food seems to be disappearing, how do teenagers eat so much!
It is roast lamb and chicken for tea tonight and hopefully the left overs will last us 2 or 3 more days.
    Happy Easter everyone.:)
