If it's congestion charge free with 7 year warranty at that price I expect most of London will buy one :D

Oh, and if my car is worth considerably less than the GFV I'll go to auction and buy it back from them :rotfl:

    That sounds like a plan!!!!

The old model Prius is taking a hit on the used market as news that it is no longer CC exempt.

Nothiing more fickle than the used car market, especially when your target market is intelligent urban middleclasses actually looking to save money whilst pretending to be looking after the environment.

Though I suspect that Toyota dealers are happy, they can sell the demo cars for almost new price. In London at least.

I like the Kia Picanto a lot. :)

I'm seriously considering chopping in my thirsty but quick(ish) Nissan Almera 2.2 diesel in for one. The fuel economy is crap on it. :(

It certainly is. Renault engine apparently. :)

I really only need my car to get from A to B and do a bit of shopping so having a car with a big engine like this is a bit silly really. A few of my friends in the pub yesterday said so too.

Is the fuel economy really that bad?

I like the Almera - had a 2003 1.5 as my first car.

These Picantos are a bargain though especially with the finance deal. I thought my one was a bargain but now that you can get one with A/C, central locking, etc for the same money it's a no brainer.

EDIT - actually, the Spice doesn't have central locking. Seems all you gain over my '1' is A/C and a slightly nicer interior.
