Extreme couponing - is it possible?

I just wish it was possible to get such huge discounts over here! But the programme has certainly made me that bit more determined to use as many coupons as I can!

i dont think it can be done over here the last coupon i had was the 3 in 1 coffee never used it cos you can get it in the pound shops

When we shop at sainsburies it prints off coupons with receipts.

free magazines supermarket do have coupons in back for specific products.

Boots is best use advantage card machine get coupons their free baby catalouguge currently has 10%offbaby clothes coupon in back.
Their monthly mag has coupons too plus you get points and free vouchers when you spend so much .

A lotof loyalty deals on extra pointswhen you buy specific products so in boots200 extra points is like £2 off.

To make the most of coupons use in conjunction with reduced or products on offer.
The other month mcain had coupon on their website saying money off and morrisions had deal on wedges anyway in conjunction with coupon meants was 34p a bag.

Farmfoods leaflets have coupons when youspend so much £2,50 every 10pounds £5 off £50 or£10 off hundred have got £12.50off in past.

magazines, packaging, newspapers occasionallyhave coupons or look on their websites.

I imagine cashier and shop not be overly happy.

I thought that the amount of perishable goods that these people on the programme had stored was ridiculous, the amounts of packets of crisps etc, no wonder they're the size of small countries!! surely they would go stale before they ate their 48 packets of multi crisps?

America seems to have a better coupon system than us, and the couple on the programme yesterday got some kind of store card coupon discount, which brought their bill down considerably, even before they used the cut out of paper coupons. But the steaks looked good!!

i have to admit to feeling a tad jealous, i too would spend my life doing it if i lived there i think:o it must absorb you trying to get that 101% saving

try using ONE coupon in our local shops and they look at you like you are handing them used toilet paper:( i can only imagine if you handed over a shoebox full:rotfl:

im hoping to do a similar thing at christmas . sainsburys usually send me vouchers [ £15 off a £60 spend] ive got so far £10 in nectar points and £27 in luncheon vouchers . so in theory my shop will be £8 for £60 worth of shopping !

I went to Asda the other day with a load of coupons - Finish, Huggies, Dairylea, Philapelphia and salad as well as £3 worth of luncheon vouchers that I get from doing Pinecone surveys.
The SA had to call a supervisor over twice and then it started beeping 'coupon limit reached' so the supervisor had to be called over again. I got some rather unfavourable looks from the old trout (seems Asda has them too lol) but oh well, I walked out having paid £2 for £20 of stuff!

only morrisons here accepts the luncheon vouchers, sainsburys, tesco and asda wont unless you are in the cafe thingy (which we have never eaten in)
so i wait till morries has coffee on offer and get that with it (and i need to do several transactions as you are only allowed 3 per customer)

Itsslightly obscene tbh , buying for the sake of it , because they 'save' money

Couponers tend to concentrate on what they 'save ' forgetting of course what they spend , its only a savng if you would have bought it at full price .
