Am currently recieving Carers allowance as a carer for both my parents (only child).

Divorced just over a year - married 24.years- stay at home mum to a high earmer- STILL working away!

On income support- is this part of CA?

Get CTC for my daughter(youngest) who is 18 in June (13th)

DD is finishing A levels and has been accepted at local Uni to do Applied Psychology, provided that she gets the grades, for which she is studying hard.

She will be living at home.

When do which payments stop (also child benefit), and at what point should I go to court (think it kmay be about now).

I got lifetime maintenance from him. He earns loads but I was so unwell and on legal aid and so have struggled financially. Am trying to complain about Sol!!

Have managed to lift my longstanding depression by alternative methods- I'm a bit wacky in that way

Can anyone help me with what's going to happen, timescales and advice please?

Will be a bleeding relief. Will not be getting anything just cos I'm a Mum/wife (just a carer), and can see the woods for the trees for the first time in years! Went from a lavish lifestyle to benefits, and I cannot tell you how much it makes you want to give up.
Daughter has her second driving test (all paid for by him and don't talk about the first one) in a couple of weeks. Then I really will feel weird. My last duties of drop offs etc.

I need a good solicitor!

Happy Easter everyone.

If your daughter is finishing her A levels and going onto University, her child benefit will cease I think at end of August, but I think child tax credits end earlier - at the end of her A levels.

I don't really understand what your real questions are here.....maybe you could be more specific in what information you are looking for and then people may be able to help a little.

    Thank you, just the logistics

When will CTC end, CB, is income support related to CA or child benefits?

What happens with the uni grants to DD, does she apply for a grant, loan

God I went to school, got a degree paid for, and a grant to spend.

Cannot remember which government was in power way back then

    So when does what end?

Your DD will apply for loans/grants to cover her tuition fees and her maintanence. She will be income assessed on your income if she normally resides with you.

She should have already applied for funding, if she hasn't then she needs to do so asap - see the link above

Child Benefit will finish on the 31st August as this is the official end of the academic year. Not sure about CTC but I presume it's the same

I presume you're receiving Income Support because you are a carer - IS for lone parents ends when the child is over 12yrs at the latest.

She can fill out a form or call the HMRC and ask them to send her a letter with her National Number on it.
If she's ever worked it'll be on her payslips, P45, P60, any letters she's ever had from HMRC or DWP.

Legally, though there's nothing to stop her dad paying it after the 31st. I presume the parent of the grandchild isn't the daughter you're asking about?
