I am using a recipe that calls for the juice of one lime and the juice of half a lemon.

I have a bottle of Tesco lime juice and one of lemon, can anyone please tell me what the equivalent teaspoon measurements would be please as it doesn't say on the bottle.

    Thanks

I have Tesco lime juice too. There's not a lot of juice in 1 lime, I'd say start with 2 teaspoons and see how it is? And maybe 3 (which is 1 tablespoon) of lemon juice

Edited: sorry a bit short. The lime juice is concentrated, so above would be about right I think. Lemons have a lot more juice, so a tablespoon would be about half a lemon.

    That's great, thanks.

We intend having a bbq tomorrow and I fancy making something new so I think I will have a go at this below.

I usually allow 2 tablespoons to half a lemon and one tablespoon (15ml, 3 teaspoons) to half a lime.
Obviously the size of fruit varies, so recipes that call for them are using an aproximate measurement anyway so don't worry too much about exactness and alter to taste.
Pic looks great, enjoy your barbeque!

    Thanks.

I will see how it tastes and add more next time if needed. To be honest I don't want it to be too sharp as my 12 year old is a fussy eater, she may not eat this anyway.

It put the chicken in the marinade at 11pm last night and we are going to cook it in a couple of hours so fingers crossed.

I will let you know how it tasted, it smells nice anyway.

    ;)

Our Tesco used to have it in the bakery aisle but they have had a bit of a move around with odds and sods lately so not sure if you would find it there now. ;)

I always have the lemon juice, it's so handy when making buttermilk, and i always dress salads with a bit of lemon juice . Of course fresh is great but i try to avoid going to the shops as much as posssible so it's handy to have!

I bought limes yesterday to make coriander and lime rice. Can't decide if it will be soapy gross or lovely but am going to try it!
