Everybody loved the cheese and garlic loaf I made yesterday and scoffed the lot.
I have now knitted two thirds of a fuffy scarf!!!!:j
Wrapped pressies for Christmas a couple of days ago.
Cleaned the grill and double oven and it looks much better.
Now have three ironing mountains but I don't care - it will get done eventually.
Need to get DH to take me to Lidl for meat, cheese, veg, bread etc and may try to get two cardboard boxes there so I can make up a couple of Christmas hampers for elderly relatives.
Sipping tea as I type and DDs have had a bacon butty each so they are quite happy.
Hugs to everyone and nice to see moggins back. Sometimes DHs are in a competition to spend money as fast as we can save it!"This site is addictive!"

Am only just out of the shower but WM is on. DW needs emptying. Have a big bag of clothes to go to charity shop and the car needs a clean and a hoover. Bedding needs changing. Plus I wantd to nip into town later but not sure if I'll get that far! I also wanted to watch a DVD later but not sure I'll manage to get off my chubby bum and get moving before my best mate drags me down the pub for a curry and to see a dodgy drag queen!
Hope everyone's day is more productive than mine!!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Hi everyone :hello:
Had a productive day so far. I took loads of stuff to the dump and as I was quite near Asda, decided to go in and see what I could get bargain-wise. I found a gorgeous blue striped shirt that will do DS for Christmas day and as it was the last one in the store, I got it for £2. :j I also bought him a Ministry of Sound portable cd player that was reduced from £29.99 to £15. Result!!!
OS-wise, the WM is on with the last of the washing. Microwave has been cleaned using just water and lemon. My local Morrisons has recently put a carrier-bag recycling bin in their store so I have looked out all the bags that a surplus to requirement and will put them in tomorrow when I pop down. Have sorted out our home recycling too. This afternoon I plan to make some HM soup for the freezer, sort out DS and DD Christmas presents and get them wrapped, shred all the documents that need to go in the bin but have my personal details on and put the clean clothes away. If I have any energy left I will try and clear some of the kitchen work surfaces as they are groaning under all my bulk buys. I just don't have enough cupboard space for all of it but will try and make some space somehow.
I hope everyone is having a great Saturday. X"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Can't be bothered today, should be on the depression board. Obviously something in the air, Me and OH are squabbling and arguing over the kids and money. Not necessarily in that order. Think I will go and pull the duvet over my head, I can't be doing OS today, have had toast for lunch! Went out this morning to a make a snowflake out of beads workshop and I was c**p at that too, I have one very floppy snowflake - something to do with missing a few vital beads.
Sorry to moan.

afternoon!
after a busy and long (and productive) day yesterday i *meant* to get up at 9.30 am again today.. only .. i slammed the alarm button off (i thought i hit the snooze one, oops) and went back to sleep for 15 minutes.. that turned into three hours. oh dear. So its now 2 hours later, and just finished "breakfast", bacon and egg sandwiches with home made bread. yum.
I got through 2 parts of my sewing challenge yesterday, 2 pressies (and i can't go into any more detail than that cos the person they're intended for reads these forums!), also went and picked up a parcel from the local post office, and got some bits n bobs from Aldi.
I really need to update my signature. the two week challenge food wise is currently standing at 65 odd, so i failed in terms of trying to get it under 60. maybe next time (the next 2 weeks) i'll do better. Christmas savings is standing at around 50 quid, i'm not sure exactly as i'm currently awaiting transfer of some money into my bank account from a friend (who sold some stuff for me on ebay), so once that's in there i'll have a better idea. Mom also promised me some money after she last visited to put towards christmas lunch (she doesn't like the thought of taking food from us when we're on benefits and she and dad are working), which hasn't materialised yet - i may have to remind her. If it does materialise then i should be better off, plus any savings i can make in the next two week cycle, hopefully more than this one as i had to give OH 20 quid for his passport.
anyway, today being saturday.... its pizza for dinner. i've more stuff to do with the sewing challenge, probably the rice bags and holders today, if i get time, i might start on the christmas table runner, and some plate holders or something. plus i came up with an idea to make frames for some photos that i got to make fridge magnets out of, that i want to put into operation this weekend if i can. Got crackers to make at some point too. arrrrrrghh..  "i will not get stressed, i will not get stressed.. i will be okay, i will make everything i need to make in time, just do a little every day"
thats better
now i just have to try to persuade OH to go in the bedroom with the laptop again today so i can have the big desk to work on... thats gonna be the hard part!
hope everyone has a good day!
keth
