Good morning everyone,
Not a good night for me, think ive mentioned my blood condition before, and at certain 'time of the months' it can cause problems, and this month is being a nightmare. Never mind, something i have to live with.
I am really glad its the weekend tho, going to take my 2 int town today, where we are meeting a friend who will take them xmas shopping for me, whilst i do anything i want to!!! I have agreed to pick up a reserved item for another friend in Argos, so i hope im not a glutton for punishment this time of year (i normally stay well away from town in December!!!!) Then, this afternoon we are helping the same friend move some bits to her new house (she is moving on Monday) and after that going for dinner at another friends, where we will watch X Factor (please, please can the Mcdonald brothers go tonight!!!! who is voting for them???) mind you, have heard one of the songs Ray is singing, and it wasnt good!!!!
So, hopefully a busy, but good day for us, and then tomorrow im doing nothing!!!! I made double portions of last weeks roast, then froze it so only have the veg to do!!!
Right, better get moving before we need to get into town, hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning All
Have had a major breakthrough with dd this morning, she has eaten cereal with cold milk on it. She normally has porridge but when we are pushed for time its usefull to eat cold breakie. She is now happily playing and half watching the teletubbies.
My plan for the day is to get some housework done this morning with DH doing all the big stuff then later on planning the rest of xmas. The plan is to go and buy as much as I can from Tesco so I have more for the MFI fund, for when we order the kitchen as soon as the next lot of clubcard vouchers are released, should have £1000 in deals by then.
Have a good day and good luck to our sporting LO's and good luck to OS'ers braving the shopsSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hello all,
Well an exciting day in the Aussie household. Me thinks not. Unless you think doing architraves, sanding plasterboard & going to the dump with loads of rubbish are exciting. On a sad note as I was coming home from the dump my finger felt strange, I looked down and the 2 stones on my eternity ring that DH bought me 24 years ago were gone.
Went back and looked but it was trying to find a needle in a haystack. My fault as my rings should have been off my hands.
I have 2 stones tucked away so will go to the jeweller to see if he can use the blue one. There not precious stones but should do the trick. DH bought them off an old digger a long time ago who use to go out to the gem fields every year and dig for them, then he'd cut & polish and sell them for a living. The green one I want to keep for DD as she has green eyes.
Pen Pen, Twink Your avatars are great. I'd like to keep mine all year.
Bye all and have a lovely saturday. (((((hugs))))) to those who need them. ByeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning everyone.
I never post on this daily thread but just want to tell everyone!!! We booked our wedding on Thursday night. It isn't untill 28th June 2008 but lots to plan as there are at least 120 people on the list so far. I also have a lot of weight to loose before then.
We have been engaged for 2 years now but we wanted to wait until our daughter was old enough to be a proper little bridesmaid walking down the aisle (can't wait to see her that day)
Also we are hopeing to have a cruise to Alaska for our honeymoon, we are very lucky that we do not have to pay for any of the wedding just the honeymoon (any tips on websites to book on)
Has anyone been there? it looks amazing, not sure what it is going to cost us we are just going to save as much as we can, we've gpt £3500 so far.
Have a great day everyone, i'm off to stay with a freind for 3 days and I have just started packing it still shocks me how much stuff I need to take for DD (shes 15 months)0 -
Morning everyone!
AussieLass - sorry to hear about your ring - I'd be devastated if that happened to my engagement ring.
PP - Any news on your OH's results? I hope it's good news.
Well I've given up and gotten up - after being woken 3 times (by baby I assume) to go to the loo, it was easier to just get up for good. So much for my Saturday in bed.
I've lots going round my head as I had a big big fight with OH last night - after midnight, he was in a sh*tty mood and I just couldn't get through to him how much I needed him at the moment. Long story but it wasn't really resolved and we are both still harbouring resentment. I can never seem to get through to him face-to-face, he always thinks I'm picking a fight - so I might write him a letter (I know that sounds weird) for him to read later today.
8 weeks pregnant today - whoopppeeee!
Hope you all have a lovely Saturday. I am not planning much O/S today, just lots of lazing about as I'm so exhausted. Please forgive me - what needs to be done, will just have to wait.

Just thought that I'd send you a ((hug)) its horrible rowing with OH when your feeling fragile. Just remember that just as you didnt know what early pregnancy felt like afew weeks ago, then your OH will never experience it. I have tried a million times to explain the over whelming tiredness but my DH can happily survive on about 3 hours sleep and he just cant understand why his wife is going to bed at 8pm.
((hugs)) to you and remember calm mummys make calm babies (or so my MIL tells me)Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
I've been away from Old Style for a long, long time (hangs head in shame). So lovely to see a daily thread to keep us all in check.
And do I need it!
OK - confession time. I HATE housework. Really despise it. In fact, I became a devotee of the Cult of St Quentin of Crisp a while back. Our creed is:
There is no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn't get any worse.
I did have a flirtation with Stardrops a while back. Then life got in the way. I tried the Flylady Challenge, but kept "forgetting" to log into Yahoo to check the daily messages. I even joined the slattern thread in The Arms.
However, I have seen the error of my ways. I'm back. I need support and help. I probably need a 12 step programme. Or therapy. Or something. A strong black coffee might help... :rotfl:
I'm going to start small. The cooker. I've filled a bucket with hot Starclen-infused water, dragged my soda crystals from the back of the cupboard (they'd gone hard but I hit them with a mallet and they're OK now) and will begin the attack in a few minutes.
Wish me luck! I promise to report back!

Morning All:hello:
Nothing remotely OS going on in the Lillibet household today, Mr Lillibet & I are off for a weekend away in Edgebaston. Our first time away from Spud overnight! I'm terrified:eek:, I'm convinced we're going to die as pennance for leaving him with my parents for 2 nights! I have bought him a Steiff Hippo as a going away present (do you think I'm over-compensating somewhat:rolleyes:). The only reason we are going is to see George Michael in concert tomorrow:D:D:D:D:D:D:D, something I have been waiting...well, my whole life for!:dance:Decided to treat ourselves to a five star weekend to ourselves with lots of room service;) but right now I don't want to go, I know I'll be fine when we get there:rolleyes:
Anyway, assuming my more grisely predictions don't come true, I'll be back on Monday.
Have a fab weekend everyone:wave:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
