Excessive metered water bills from Southern Water

Great thread peeps, only just signed up today and was browsing and came across this. My good lady has complained extensively to me that the water bill is extremly high... i'm going to read all this info in a great deal more detail and see if any of the check list above helps any.. as a starter for 10, we are a house of 2 with dish washer (used daily grrrr) much to my distaste. Just looking through the Bill for period 01/04/2011 - 25/05/2011 we apparently used 37 Cm, so about 0.63 CM p/d. To be honest not too sure is typical usage.. is there somewhere i can look?
Looked at a bill before we moved here in feb (was in a flat before) and my bill was about £5 a month (ave 0.13 Cm p/d), but had no dishwasher, and i did live by myself then. I am thinking of throwing the dishwasher out the window though so may help.0 -
The UK average is 160 litres(0.16 cubic metres) per person, per day. So you are using about double that figure - as is the OP.0
