Morning All
Up with the larks today.
Everyone is still in bed and I have got loads done already.
Plans for today are to get the covers back on the sofa, DD ironed them last night so they are ready to go so that is DH's first job of the day, he is then going to spend all day in the shed sorting his carp out and then maybe he will get the tools that have been laying around in the house put away properly.
I think I will pop down town - I have a prescription to pick up and I need to get some beef from Asda while it is still on offer, I have found that if I roast a huge joint and slice it - I can get 5 - 6 meals for three of us out of it, not bad for £10.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning everyone
Another lovely day here, actually got out of bed and made the coffee today
Had a good night last night, playing playing card bingo, you don't get much more OS that this, group of folk, sat in what was 2 old frame tents zipped together, on their own chairs and tables, drinking coffee and biscuits provided by the rally, with a prize of 2 fun size chocy bars. I didn't win but never mind, and if you want an easy game, deal a pack of cards between 4 - or just have 13 cards if an odd number, and then someone else goes through another pack of cards calling them out, fairly quickly, and the one who puts all their cards down as called is the winner. If anyone asked us what we were doing last night you can imagine their faces when you said, sat in a field in a tent playing cards and drinking tea/coffee. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Need a little shopping today, toothpaste, celery, cereals, so will maybe do a Aldi, before going into Kings Lynn and finding a £land - want a couple of bits I have had from them before and hope they are stlll in.
Miecherox - most High Street Travel Agents with an exchange booth will change your Euros, I find the Co-op ones give a fairish exchange rate. Sorry to hear things are so tight for you.
B-B positive vibes for DH's interview, hope it comes off.

Morning all.
HH hope your bil continues to recover well. Watched superscrimpers with a bit more enthusiasm last night, in the knowledge that they must have some sense to have asked you on the show.... really hope that happens!
.
i enjoyed the programme last night , i am definitely going to try the bicarb and vinegar down the sink
and what a massive amount of interest that woman will save if she takes out a loan but i dont think they told her to stop using her cc,s though0 -
Morning my lovelies

Set to be another scorcher here (how terrible
), paddling pool is still out, I've just gone and hidden 20 little plastic Easter eggs around the garden. We're going to have an Easter Egg hunt when mindees get here
Each egg has 3 Cadbury's mini eggs in them although we shall divvy them up equally once all eggs have been found
Forsee another day in the garden which is fine by me and my Vit D levels
H is out tonight so not sure what I shall have for tea, kids will be having beef thats in the SC at the moment. I see there is a thread for summer food which I might have a nose at, all my recipes seem to be more Winter foods. If you have any summer family faves I'd love to hear about them
BB - Good luck to Mr BB xx Positive vibes for him.
Micheroux - sorry I've prob spelt your user name wrong again
Go up the bank and pay those coppers in and the euro's too if you can't find somewhere who will exchange that amount. Well done on your job :T I am lovin' your positive attitude
Hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day everyone OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Morning All!
Ouch! I have just fallen down those damn stairs again, but this time my back is fine - its my head that's copped it
I am going to sit here and make sure I am OK for a wee bit before I move. The dog was out the back going nuts and wouldn't be quiet when I told her off, so I stormed out. I got a glimpse of those blimmin' magpies, and whoops! head bounced off the stairs or railings, not sure which. I should not be left on my own :rotfl:
I have the day off today, as I got an emergency holiday to be with my sister, but his op has now been cancelled until Tuesday, so I am going to stay put anyway and try to do some house stuff. DH has volunteered me for some baking at the place he is working today, to raise some funds, so my afternoon will be spent making tablet, caramel cakes and gingerbread. I am back on my diet too, after an overlong Easter break (and the eggs haven't even arrived yet  ).
Have a good day everyone, nice to hear you so positive Micherox, HH hope your BIL continues to improve.

Jac - what are you like? Do you feel sick or anything? Vision OK? Didn't knock yourself out at all did you?

Had a bit of a lie-in and read my book
pure bliss !
have had a quick clean and mopped the kitchen floor, cleaned bathroom while I was in there for my shower.
Poor DH is suffering with his sciatica, he's gone to work but going to put his feet up later and watch the racing on tv.
Need to pop into town and go to the bank and chemist this morning so better get shifting.
have a great day all - Bitsy - the egg hunt sounds fun!:DDo what you love :happyhear0 -
JackieG Be careful!!! I'm a bit like you. Shipyards for feet! Well, size 8 anyway. I have had a few falls downstairs and am now very careful and nervous on them. Still have major coccyx pain after a fall 20 yrs ago then aggravated by another last year. Take it easy. If in doubt, go and get yourself checked out.
Sistercas the woman did tell the CC lady to stop using her cards. I am amazed all the time by people who must go around with blinkers on and just don't realise that there is a way to live without accruing massive amounts of interest. Do they just bury their heads in the sand or something?
I don't know about you guys, but I am a missionary for OS. My friends and family are used to me banging on about saving this, that and the other. My friends are taking it up too, and lurk around here sometimes, but my family are another matter. My sister has NEVER shopped around for house or car insurance! I told her the other day about the DTD Tesco deal as Tesco is where she does all her shopping and she got all huffy with me and just totally switched off. She just doesn't get it. I get frustrated as I know she could save loads by just doing little things and not having to change her lifestyle dramatically.
My Daddy too. Lives down the road from both asda and Tesco and I have tried to tell him loads of times to go and have a look in the reduced fridge to get some great bargains on fish or meat. He has no restrictions on his time but has never done it. Ever!!! I get frustrated sometimes. But i know it is their choice. I just don't see why people choose to waste money when they don't have to!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...
