I am interested to hear what you think.

Of those who have been subjected to pressure insurance sales tactics, when all you went in for was mortgage advice, how did this feel?

  • Kenshaz you have still not answered my questions, why the personal attacks on ME? come on, lets have your reasons. I want to know WHY YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH ME PERSONALLY and what I have done, either to YOU or other FORUM USERS to make you take issue with me and attack everything I say without reason. Now stop posting links to articles. I want to hear it in YOUR OWN WORDS - WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?

    You have to laugh.

The OP has done exactly what he was advised to do on this forum - see a broker with a view to possibly approaching the Abbey.

And duly, he has got what he wanted, like so many others. :)

Memory can play tricks on you at times, that's for sure.
    ;)

Nice one ED - an admission at last that using expert is better than the DIY route.;) ;)

Actually, if you read the original thread, you'll see that the two key pieces of info - that Nationwide would not accept the OP, but that Abbey might - were first offered by ordinary MSE posters. They were subsequently backed up by the opinion of the various brokers.

I doubt that anyone on the board would be so arrogant as to claim that brokers have a monopoly on financial information - or indeed that they are always right.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)

    Indeed !

Tried to do it himself, pointed in right direction by an "ordinary?" poster and then sorted out by a professional.

Why didnt you advise a low cost DIY mortgage with Hargreaves Lansdown? Im not sure if they have one BTW, not having a monopoly on financial information:rotfl:

PS all "ordinary" posters feel free to thank ED for making me aware of your existence , I thought we were all the same on this forum.
