I got an email reply from NCP:

    "Hi,
For multiple day parking you need to add the fees together, so for Saturday and Sunday, the fee is a total of £2.50.

    Regards,
    Mark"

I'll have to see how it goes. As I need to come back on Sunday to drop off the luggage after checking out, it shouldn't be too much of a problem if I can't get 2 days at £2:50 on Saturday. I'll just pay for Saturday and then come back and pay for Sunday! :)

Either way, I'll post here afterwards.
  • Just as a thought, if the Ticket Office for the railway station is open I would have thought that for a station car park they can do you both tickets. I know that both of the stations I use will offer that quite happily.

You don't have to pay a single penny...unless you want to. Simply park up and use the car park.

Then ignore all letters etc from them.

And that idiotic advice is why PPCs exist today! The landowner has a right to charge a reasonable fee for parking!
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

    Wonderful advice...

How would you like it if somebody you didn't know parked in your driveway over a weekend?

an old and tired argument that's been done to death on here countless times.

truth is that the OP - acting honestly and openly - is asking for advice on how to overcome a payment problem; a problem created by a PPC.

now call me cynical but could the PPC be thinking that there's afew more £ to be made via their fake tickets by restricting the motorist's payment choice?

    and I am probably cynical...

I wouldn't [if it was my current drive].

However if my drive was the size of several football fields with parking for several hundred paying parkers making me tens of thousands of pounds per annum then I wouldn't exactly be too bothered if someone parked there over a weekend [especially since my parking invoices to them would be unenforceable].

Parking payment at Railway Stations is seldom restricted, in fact, usually quite the opposite! Most TOCs allow payment using their Ticket Offices, Ticket Vending Machines, several Pay & Display machines and more recently pay by phone.

That's as maybe, but then they let parasites like Meteor crawl around the car park...:p
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Wrong wrt PPC existing.

Wrong...they have a right to try to charge for parking and then to try to enforce breach of contract for non-payers.

BTW who defines 'reasonable' in your world??
