Hi all,
Is it possible to park your car at Finchley Station on a Saturday and pay for parking for both Saturday and Sunday (going to stay overnight in London)?
In the past you could only pay for up to 24 hours.
From the link above it seems to imply that you can pay for 2 days, but at the 2 day rate (£9.00) as opposed to Sat (£1.50) + Sun (£1.00).
Can someone confirm whether you can:
a) Pay for 2 days in advance (i.e. not need to return on the second day to pay for another 24 hrs).
b) Pay just £2.50 (£1.50 Sat + £1.00 Sun) in advance.
c) Whether there is any problem just coming back on Sunday to pay for Sunday as a last resort!
Thanks.

I would try (c) and then just ignore any fake PCN they may choose to slap on your windscreen.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

From their website!
What is a "pay and display" car park?
In a "Pay and display" car park you park your car, you work out approximately how long you intend to stay and put the correct change into the machine. The ticket from the machine should then be displayed in your car while you are parked.
So if you pay the correct amount £1.50 sat and £1.00 sun then you is covered.
Any invoice from them later can then be safely filed in the ignore file!0 -
Cost is £2.50 in total. Those are the terms of the contract they are offering. Pay for it as you see fit.
The 'day' terms are implied as weekdays as Sat and Sun have differing prices.
So I would go 'b'.0 -
Thanks. The only problem is that last time I use the machine, the date/time its valid to only moves on if the correct amount is entered, so most likely when I hit £2.50, it will expect me to take it to £9 before showing a date/time 48 hours in the future. I'll see how it goes and then post back.0

OK, you know the setup best. Just don't pay any more than £3.50 and ignore any phoney parking tickets they might slap on your car.0

Hmm, this advice surprises me.
You know in advance what the weekend charge is (£9), so pay that. it's not up to you to make up your own decision on what the landowner can charge you for parking on their land. It sounds like a short-stay car park, so they charge more for long-term parking. If you think it's too much, find somewhere else
The advice given seems to go completely against the point of the forum. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
I think you're reading the price tariff wrongly. I read the price as being £3.50 for a weekend, not £9.
If you park on a Monday it's £4.50. If you park Monday - Friday it's 5 x £4.50 = £22.50. The days are cumulative. Why they don't just say 'weekdays: £4.50' is beyond me.
Saturday and Sunday (and bank holidays) have their own special prices.
Doesn't sound like short stay is the intention since it's open 24/7.0 -
Ah, I was going by the OP, not the link. it's not really that clear, but I recant and say that it should be £2.50
Where do you get £3.50 from, Alexis? I'm guessing it's a typoOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
Oops, £2.50!0

We are expecting too much for the PPC's making it easy!! However will the P&D except the £2.50? for Sat & Sun, in one go.0
