Awww, he's cute. But I'm sorry to say, if I wasn't sure about his welfare, I'd just put him out of his misery. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Well, I thought about that, but I might as well give him a chance. I fully expect to lose him overnight, but you never know.
In a perfect world I'd call him Trevor, raise him to adult and train him to eat sawfly. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I was going to suggest placing the bird in the airing cupboard for warmth but most houses now have combi boiler so now need for water cylinder. Dad suggested putting it in the oven on very low heat. lol.
Whenever one of my cats has caught and bought in a living bird I give them a mix of sugar and water via a dropper. Which seems to help.0 -
I can't get up any earlier than this.
Predicatably, sadly, and also happily, he didn't survive the night. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Such a shame, would have been nice to hear it turned into a beautiful bird that came to say hello often (i know, not likely)Sealed Pot Challenge Member #8810

Well you can rest easy knowing you done everything you could. It is easy for people to say you should have left him, let nature takes its course etc, but I would have done exactly the same as you as I know other people on this board would have.Nicky x
