If we differentiate between businesses and private sellers what about the large amounts of businesses who trade on a private account? Are they allowed to give a poor standard of service as well just because they are wrongly registered.

My item did arrive today, the packaging was ripped and the PO bagged it and carded me for a potentially damaged parcel which I have now collected. This particular seller sells lots and lots of these items all brand new and uses a trading name on their 'about me' page, and is registered as a private seller. I didn't think it of interest to mention that before as I expect the same service of all sellers, regardless of their registration. However if it is suggested that they are allowed to be more lax then maybe I should start reporting them all again as I currently don't bother.

To be honest I couldn't be bothered and now I have the item I think I will just leave it at that and forget about any feedback.

That is where I believe my influence stops - I always give recorded and special delivery options, if the buyer wants 1 day guaranteed delivery, the option is there.

I don't mind where your influence stops.
My influence will extend to expecting delivery, and raising a dispute if you don't within the rules ebay have.
How you deliver it is up to you, so long as you achieve it.
I must admit, I prefer collection now, and try to choose local sales.
If it's as described, I'll pay cash, and if it's not, I'll walk away. It's a lot easier than any other way now.

Yes, if I send an item, it gets delivered.
If it's stated as taking up to 15 days, sometimes it takes 15 days. Buyers raising disputes through eBay before that amount of time are abusing the system.

Special Delivery takes 1 and if not a refund is on the cards. Obviously.

You're starting to bore me now, really. You continue to reply to comments you've made up, rather than quotes from me.

I think they may use standard email templates to reply to save the hassle for checking. At the end of day, I get frustrated for long wait.

I'm sure most buyers bore you, but if you believe you can state 15 days, go for it.
That's why ebay changes the rules to protect buyers.

But you may have to wait a couple of months to get something from China!

I'm quite surprised you are doing this. After a tiresome experience you just want to forget about it but I wonder if you have reconsidered? I think I would want to leave feedback not the least so I could mark down their stars.
