An easy way to find out whether its a legit site is by making sure the Domain is HTTPS when logging into online banking. Just glad you didn't log in ! Who knows who would've got your details !' You only live once ! Don't live to regret the past, But to enjoy the future '

Just an FYI on this thread.
Always use the URL/Address bar on your browser and enter the site by typing the full address (http:\\ not needed). Some search boxes on browsers will direct you to the first searchable result and with loads of toolbar extensions people have these days, most go to poorly maintained search engines which are a breeding ground for phishers.
This information applies to ALL secure websites where you deal with sensitive information and should not be overlooked.

I have seen a few phising sites and this one is very good. Only because I specifically remember it saying "never use your card reader to log in" very dodgy so beware.0 -
I've just been stung by this!
I use the https www nwolb.com url to login and still I get hacked! It asked for the card reader information and stupid me thought they had changed their services! As soon as I put my information in I received a text saying that a new payee had been added to my account. So once I had logged in I checked my single payments to find a new one with £4,909 coming out tomorrow!! I've phoned Natwest serveral times now and spoken to the fraud team. They have stopped my account and only on this last call did they stop my card, even though I asked them to in the first phone call.
Anyway, phone call to the fraud team again tomorrow as they are closed after 8pm, I think it was. All in all with the customer service so far I've not felt they are living up to their tv advert about helpful banking.
I'm hoping this transaction is stopped! Anyone else had anything like this happen?0 -
Update.
I spoke to the fraud team at Natwest and now my account needs to be closed and a new one opened because so much information was venerable. They tried to update my address and phone numbers! All while I was logged in to my account last night and on the phone to Natwest. They said I contacted them in time so no money will leave my account and that it was probably a virus that caused this.
Be careful people!0 -
Update.
It's now been a few days since I last spoke to NatWest so I phoned their online fraud number. The person on the phone said there was nothing taken from my account, even though the money (nearly £5,000) had gone from my account! He told me to go to a branch and talk to them because it wasn't an online transaction. So I go in branch and talk to someone, he printed off a list of my accounts and low and behold the money HAD come out of my account even though I told them it was no me that did it!
After a few phone calls by the person at the branch he managed to find out that their fraud team is going to call me later today with an update and to run through some things. I'm guessing some kind of 'interview' before they decide if they will give me my money back?!
What I'd like to know is why they didn't stop the money coming out of my account when I contacted them less than 5 mins after I knew that a new payee had been set up on my account? They keep saying that it's because the transaction happens in only a couple of minutes, or just a few seconds, which I find hard to believe when it happened at 9pm at night! I think they had ample time to do something. I suppose we shall see.
I'm not happy with NatWest, they have been nothing but useless! Apart from the one person I have seen in branch.
I'll update this after I hear back from the online fraud team!0
