Natwest - login issues

Options
Hi,

I have just tried to login to my natwest current account and it said that they do not recognise the computer I am logging in from. (always use this computer) and it is asking me to use card reader device.

Just the other day, when using the card reader, it stated on the website that Natwest would never ask you to use the card reader to login. Also, does it matter if Natwest does not recoginise your computer because surely you can login into remote banking from anywhere in world

It just seemed weird so I did not go ahead and use it incase it was hacked. Anyone else had this?

Natwest always say to me that you shouldnt use your card reader to log in. If i was you, i would call them for advice, and dont risk it.

I have just noticed a security update on the natwest page saying you may be asked to use card reader to confirm identity. I'm confused

I've just logged in, and it came up with the usual, you do not need your card reader to log in message, it sounds like you are not logging into the genuine site

despite three attempts to call them, i end up on hold for ages :((

have looked again at login page and it is redirecting me at last moment to a 'forged' website which looks like natwest login page but states that you may need to use your card reader to login.

Are you logging in from the Natwest home page? You might want to do a virus/malware scan on you computer

Hi, I have changed my passwords and pin number, and informed Natwest who said there was no attempts to login other than mine.

I have crashed my computer deliberately and rebooted it

The login page specifically states that a card reader is not required:
