Good morning all,
Absolutely beautiful here again today.
DD2 loved the ham & squash gratin yesterday. Just cost 2 leeks and some cheddar for the 3 of us
Thai chicken curry for dinner tonight. There will be 8 of us and then we will babysit the DGSs.
Need to get the house and garden all spick and span. We have visitors coming on Saturday and Monday.
KMIL is one of the visitors she of the biatchy tongue and CRITICAL snidey comments!!!!!
So kitchen needs to look like a well run laboratory with nothing out of place. I must annihilate all cobwebs, dust and sticky fingermarks. It will be good for the house, which is OK but not sparkling;)

Morning all!
I have taken a days annual leave cos this cold is making me feel dopey and miserable, just as well we had extra staff on today! Waiting on washing machine finishing, still looks a touch misty so should be a nice day, was so nice yesterday that DD stripped her bed and did all her washing and hung it out:eek: never been known before! Think it may be a day for the garden, will phone mum shortly and see if she wants to go look at plants and we can share them!Have a good day!RIP Iain

Morning all - today is all about picking up the camper van and packing it, then driving to Wigan. If anyone is on the A1, M62, M60, M61 and Hindley from 10.30 - 3 today - give all camper vans a wide berth - just in case its me!! Will be the biggest vehicle I've ever driven, but I like driving and I AM having a short driving lesson with the salesman before I venture out on my own. Will not be attempting reversing on my own!
What sort of campervan is it? Enjoy driving it, I confess I've never driven one but was a passenger for many a year. How I miss sitting high up and getting all the waves from other drivers
Just remember you sit more over the front wheels so when going round corners just bear that in mind
Have fun at any rate :j
Morning my lovelies
Looks to be another warm one here
Kids were on the go non-stop again yesterday. I am shattered by the end of the day
Doing very little to none housework, upstairs looks like a shed, it desperately needs a vac never mind a dust  Might try and clean the kitchen today, least I can do that whilst keeping an eye on the kids.
Got a piece of beef to put in SC, no idea what's for tea again though as H doesn't eat beef <rollseyes> Still think a man this faddy about food is perfect?!!!
lowesy - hope pain eases soon xx
Bargainbird - Pics on FB of your new babies please
Enjoy bird watching this afternoon :rotfl:
Hester - definately complain  Hope you feel better soon x
Jools and Julie - hope colds b*gger off and you feel better soon x
OK going to nip of and whip the vac round whilst I have chance. Hugs and spoons all round. Enjoy your day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Good Morning everyone,
another beautiful day forecast here in North Kent.I had a terrific evening last night at the British library in London saw the Gutenburg bible and the Mangna Carta and so many other things even the Beatles songwriting lyrics. Its such an interesting place that I would happily move in there for the rest of my life .If you are a book lover or have kids that are interested in books ,history ect take them along and let them see whats on offer. Its free and the staff are really helpful and all of them will happily talk about whats on show.
On the way up on the train I got talking to two chaps opposite me One was a JP and the other a vicar. They were off to a masonic meeting and they were such jolly guys (helped along a bit by a large bottle of gin and two bottles of tonic) the JP even had a tuppaware box with sliced limes and ice cube in it .First time I have ever seen two chaps come so well prepared on a train. They were great company and the vicar gave me his card and said next time I want to visit to come along to his Garrison church in Chatham and he would show me all over it .I may take him up on that .When I texted my eldest DD and told her she said 'Oh Mother only you could get tied up with a pickled vicar and a judge ' Seriously though they were very entertaining and the 50 odd minutes just flew by.I do seem to attract the strangest folk on public transport though, but its because I like to chat and I find folks lives so interesting.
Today I have now washing or ironing to da as I finished it all yesterday so I may do some baking for my DGS.I know their cookie tin wants replenishing and I think I could stretch to a nice couple of dozen small iced cakes as well. They soon vanish when the boys get to them.Well I hope everyone has a nice day and enjoys the lovely weather we have at the moment.Fingers crossed it will last until after the week-end.
Take care all

Hi. Hope everyone on here is well and good. Haven't been on for a while with one thing and another but I kind of have a moral dilemma for want of a better term. I have a Facebook account which I mostly use for playing games.I used to follow a band around a good few years back and via the FB page of one of the band members I have been spotted by another of the regulars who has emailed me and sent me a friend request.
I am not sure if I wish to accept or not as her email says I don't know if you remember me or not and unfortunately I remember her vividly. She was a bit of a bunny boiler and all round odd character. There were various stories going round about her and she was known among the fans but didnt really get along with any of them due to her being an all round oddball.I tried to be polite with her once and called at her home for her before one of the gigs and she had plastered wall to floor with pics etc which isnt bad in itself except I always got a very unnerving stalker vibe off her. She had written down on a list on the wall every time the singer (who she had a weird attachment to) had spoken to her or walked past her etc and I recall she often plonked herself in front of him and next to me in the audience and gazed at him with a glazed psycho expression which was really quite scary.
I dont like to be impolite but I dont really feel comfy that she has latched onto me again. I also treasure fb and rl friendships with several members of this band especially the singer and I dont know what they think of her and if becoming her friend will mean losing contact with them.I don't really know if I should accept or not or what to say to her if I decide not to.I don't have anything personal on FB due to previous issues with stalkers and whackos both in RL and on the net and also so I can speak freely on the net without being looked up by employers etc so I don't think my safety would be compromised if I accepted her friend request. However I love the freedom Fb and my anonimity allows me.
I know you ladies here have often shown wisdom and also a fresh perspective and wonder if you can offer me any words of advice. Many thanks. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Morning peeps
just popping in to say a huge thankyou for all the birthday wishes yesterday :A
You are all wonderful peeps and it was lovely to see the good wishes even though i`ve not been around for quite a while
Life has been mad busy these last few months and i don`t get online as much as i used to, these days the garden is taking over as its that time of year again. I`ve got tomatoes, peppers, courgettes, various salad leaves, spring onions, achocha and radishes popping through and growing nicely. The onions are in and growing well and today i need to move the rest of the strawberries, repot some plants and get my carrots in all before i go to work
I`ve just had my first weekend off in months and i really enjoyed it, DH & i did a bit of shopping yesterday and had a nice walk in the woods with the woofaloes. Then it was out for tea and to the pub with some pals for the quiz night. I really enjoyed it and the weather was the icing on the cake.
Hubs and i have achieved a major goal, a few weeks ago we managed to pay off our mortgage - massive thanks to all on the MFW board for the motivation there, its been a journey full of surprises and now we can relax a bit as the job situation is all over the place. I still can`t believe that we`ve actually done it as it still doesn`t feel real. We can now start saving for the million and one jobs that need doing in and around the house.
The monsters are all fine, little black cat is still evil and is now busy watching all the insecty things in the garden, youngest houndie is still mad and by far the most entertaining houndie that we have ever had
Little oldie has had two operations on his eye to remove ulcers, he could only have a local anasthetic due to his age and heart condition but he was the most perfectly behaved little old man and is now well again. He seemed to know that he needed the procedures and now he is just fine.
I`ve got all the washing blowing gently on the line and the garden is full of flowers, the salad that i`ve made for later is in a huge bowl in the kitchen and i`m mostly organised this morning. The weather is beautiful and all is well.
Nice to see some familiar faces are still around, i do pop in every now and again for a quick read when time permits and i shall have to try and make a bit more time for this as i do miss all of you.
Keep well peeps and enjoy the gorgeous weather!
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon
