How many buttons has it got? and there should a light or LED somewhere on it.
In normal use the light is steady. Once it's in discoverable mode the light flashes (as a rule!), for between 20 to 30 seconds and then drops back to normal mode.
The usual way to get in into discoverable is to hold one or more buttons down until the light flashes. As soon as it flashes tell the other device to find it, once it has try the codes listed above.
If none of that works... I'm out of idea's, sorry...0
