Bluetooth Code
I have been given a Bluetooth Speaker for use with a mobile phone incar, it is branded Vodaphone. The problem is I do not have the code to pair with my phone.
I have asked my friend who gave it to me and they said they thought it was "0000", I have tried this and it does not work; I have also tried "ABCD" which also does not work.
Is there any way of fiding the code or getting around this problem?

You can't get round it.
Unless he's changed it (if it can be changed) you could try the manufactures.
The usual defaults are 0000, which you've tried. 1234 or 9999.
The speaker has to be set to discoverable like all BT hardware, you can't pair to it unless it's in that mode.0 -
So the only option is to bin it????
Seems such a waste.Change is here to stay0 -
Well no, you can try to get a manual for it using one of the manual sites or Google. It will be marked with an model number.
Failing that do some Google searches for things like (model number) passcode and pair (model number) etc etc
Or you can contact the manufacturer.0 -
Is there a "Reset" hole/button/option?
Depending on the device, you can try and hold down the power button for 30 seconds to see if that resets the code.Laters

OK, it is a little dificult to get the manual, I was given the devise by a friend in spain and they purchased from the local Vodaphone shop. There are no model numbers or reset button.Change is here to stay0

Are you sure there is nothing marked on it to indicate model. As a radio device it should have? Although I suppose the situation might be different in Spain.
Have you tried contacting Vodafone Spain?0 -
Looked inside the battery compartment? No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi Apreciar,
I am sorry to hear that you are struggling getting your device set up.
Do you know which make the Bluetooth speaker is? If it is a Vodafone branded one and the code hasn't been changed, it should be either 0000 or 1234 as suggested by Jon 01.
Otherwise, I would see if your friend still has any information about the device ie. a manual or a model number.
Best wishes,
Heidi

If all else fails, post a pic of the front and back of the device.
Someone should be able to identify it.. ^_^Laters
