I just hope the bank will help me out. The woman I talked to told me they will 'definitely get my money back' last time I talked to them, when they told me I had to wait 15 days before reporting.
But did the lady at the bank know that Sagepay were involved when she said that?

Keep hoping. Maybe your bank will help.

Any decent supplier would do this themselves and not direct you to you Card company.

Yes, but she may not have known all the facts ?

But, I do hope that they sort it out for you.

I guess not every detail... Thanks for the help.

Reading online, I see that it is possible to do Chargebacks with SagePay... they have also told me to contact my card issuer who may be able to recover my funds.

I guess this is good news, will update you all with information when I get some.

I can't believe you shopped with this site:

    (1) Website is utterly amateur and awful - knocked up by a monkey on day release from the local zoo.
    (2) No geographic telephone number
    (3) No address displayed
    (4) Email and webform only contact
    (5) Website created 6 months ago (Creation Date: 2010-09-27)
    (6) Masked registrant and address on whois
    (7) whois shows a Canadian address

Next time please check out sites thoroughly when purchasing high value goods.

Although a UK webserver. Which is more relevant for jurisdiction.

BTW the Wakefield address... http://www.mailboxuk.com/Home.asp?ContentID=5 It's a mailbox. However reporting a fraud to the police would mean it would be handed over.

http://www.actinic.co.uk/ecommerce-for-startups/express-online-shopping-cart.html They are probably using this service.

Possibly (again) - you are now looking at a chargeback (Since the goods are not as described?)

Found the following link from Which?

    http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/sale-of-goods/your-rights-when-paying-by-credit-card/chargeback-on-credit-and-debit-cards

Especially read the last Paragraphs ?
“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”

I don't know if they've been reading this or something, but just now they sent me an email for the first time in weeks saying

"We have not supplied a tripod. If you are still not in receipt of your order then please contact your card issuer and instigate a chargeback to recover your funds

    Regards
    Video Camera Direct"

You have been defrauded 5k - go to the Police.

Its a known scam and featured on the BBC a while back.
