No wonder - they're still advertising this https://www.newreg.co.uk/secure/buy/index.html?registration=BVV%2051S&marketingId1=homepage&marketingId2=text for £519 when I paid £140 for it inc transfer (and have since sold the car)
Just curious, but what is that supposed to represent? BVV 51S
I don't get it.
Or is the attraction simply that it is a smaller number than usual and that one of the letters is repeated.
I suppose a smaller length number can be an advantage on certain cars like Alfa Romeo 156 or American imports.
What do you do with your original plate? Do they generally just give it back to you for free when you want to sell the car without the 'private' plate?0 -

I too have used Newreg on a couple of occaissions without issue :TI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
So who is regarded as the cheapest seller(for a first time purchase), and if newreg... how do I make them a lower offer?
Conflicting advice re. the tax disc... seems silly to send it off, however more likely that i would return a document containing the details to DVLA. Is going to my nearest DVLA branch quicker? Seems like it might be easier as obviously I could simply take the tax discs in person.
Is there a cheap plate making site that will deliver to my house that could be recommended?
Thanks.. almost there:)0 -
Is there any bigger waste of money than private reg plates?0
