Just a quick update, I am on my 3rd letter now. Once it has gone completely dead I will scan them all in and post here as a full set.0

Thanks, it's good to keep our top info thread of letter-chains up to date, and we couldn't do so without newbies posting their threatograms here.

Just a quick update again, heard nothing since the 3rd letter back in May.0
-
....said 'no problem sir, I will arrange to have the ticket cancelled' when I called them to explain that I was unhappy with my ticket.
My defense was 'why should using their place for a meeting, that over ran, get me a ticket when we purchased 3 meals and about 9 coffees'
Cheekily, I suggested that I already had paid my fine when buying the coffee's.
In short, Exeter Services were happy to help, a credit to them. The car parking thing is still anal, but at least they had the power to sort it out. Be polite and to the point - and I hope this approach works for you too when you feel the anger rise within you 10 seconds after the shock of reading the letter.
I did get one final concession, they agreed that if you are going to be there longer than 2 hours, you can drive out and in again. Mental but will save you time ans stress if you really feel the need to be at these places for more than 2 hours.0 -
I just hope that they do as they said and, if so, that CP+ actually does cancel the ticket.
PS. The motorway service area "£5 meal deal". Or, as it's also known, a cup of coffee and a Mars bar.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.
