Well the stress of waiting on a 2 yr old and a fluid filled partner hand and foot will make jobsearching seem like a welcome break :o

What is the bet he finds a job between now and next week when another little person requires a servant ;)

My c section went really well, I was dreading it (I'm not sure if you had one with baby 1). I thought I was on cloud 9 and the plastic sheet they were dragging me around on was a hammoc. It was so calm my son came out asleep and practically snoring. Very surreal. :)

I had an emergency c section with my first daughter and have decided this time I want it all in my control!

So excited now, only 9 days to go!! Although I was so worried this morn I was in tears!

He is yes, have double checked the list and he is there certified to Bristow & Sutor. His certified until June 2011.
He seems to be a certified lunatic! :p
He has confirmed via text to me today that we now owe £1053.79.
That seems quite remarkable. Has he added in the date by mistake?
Monthly thats around £87, which we may just be able to afford. If we agree to pay monthly do we ask his office to write & confirm?
Although it should be going back to the council - from whom it should never have been sent - it may still be helpful if B&S could confirm that sum in writing.

It would provide evidence of most egregious over-charging.

My mum had me by emergency c sec and said it was awful (that did wonders for my confidence as you can imagine!). If you had a bad time last time please do not think it will be the same now at all because you are not an emergency next week, you are a planned surgery.

My elective was literally, ideal. The fact you are not going in a rush and nothing has to be done right now just takes all the edge off. I was delayed a bit as a few emergencies came up that morning but it was so well done (primarily because the staff were so able to take the time that would not be available in an emergency!). I left 24 hours later (only delayed to 24 hours because the staff were busy with emergencies so could not sign me out), although a little hunched over to protect the scar as I'm sure you will understand :rotfl:

Honestly, it was as nice as the people who have had positive natural births from the stories, as I have the same positive memories those with trouble free natural births describe.

Anyway, I'll stop now because you are here for debt advice and there are going to be people who do not really want to hear about surgery, lol.

    culex that made me laugh

keep all text messages you have had from the bailiff

This can be done by e-mail

the date of the liability order
the amount of the liability order
the date and amount passed of R&R
date and amount of payments credited to the account from B&S
    outstanding balance to date

And don't worry about the bailiff you enjoy the last few days of your pregnancy and your baby if he does come back e-mail the council and ask why you are having visits from bailiff Mr xxxx refer them back to your previous correspondence
I am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites

Above all, do not think of "Robert the bailiff" as being anyone important.

If you must think of him at all, think of him as a poor little child who, having a lack of toys, was forced to play with himself. :p

Good morning all and once again may thanks for all your help and advice yesterday, much appriciated.

Thought I'd give you an update. Had an email from C.Tax Recovery at local council saying that B&S had contacted them to advice I was vunerable due to pregnancy & JSA ( cheeky sods, I emailed the council before B&S were even aware of my circumstances!! ) and that I had requested the debt be passed back to council. The council have refused to accept the debt back as the amount owed is from my previous address plus this address that we have been in just short of a year, also because when we first got into difficulties the council had allowed me a 'special' arrangement to pay off my arrears i installments - and we had defaulted.

They have said that they are sympathetic to our situation and therefore will negociate with B&S on our behalf to give us a reasonable amount of time for us to get back on our feet ( me to have baby & OH to hopefully get a job ). They have asked for me to propose an amount I can afford to pay off of the debt per month, for the next 3 mths. They have instructed B&S ro not contact me for 14 days to allow us to work out what we can afford.

    What do you guys think?

have a read of this send a copy to your MP don't forget to inform your MP that you are having a c section on (date) therefore 14 days from todays date you will still be recovering and the last thing you need is a bailiff baning on your door

make a formal complaint to the head of revenues of your council

Most councils don't administrate there council tax therefore the person dealing with this may not be a council employee thats why you need to get in touch with your MP and make a formal complaint to the head of revenues at the council

you are most defiantly vulnerable regardless of how many liability orders there are and how many address its for

The reason they don't want to take it from your benefits is because the most they can take is £3.80 ish

can i ask did you move out of the previous address in the middle of a financial tax year was the liability order adjusted to reflect this

Yes, they do seem "sympathetic", don't they?

This is still quite utterly appalling. You really should email your councillors and your MP, as it seems as if the local council council tax recovery is little better than a division of the bailiffs!

I'd say your council sucks but, as to what it/they might suck, the rules here preclude me from saying precisely; suffice it to say that it involves coprophagy. :p

If "Robert the bailiff" phones you again, just play him this. :rotfl:
