How long have Tesco had a price check comparison tool on there website for ??!!
I haven't noticed it before but came across it, nothing I enter seems to be available for comparison so I was wondering if it was a new thing. (and something they have been spending time on instead of sending out our vouchers, grrrr!).

    they removed it :(

Have not seen your previous post explaining details.

How can we put a shop together and calculate the cost v DTD, without the downloadable version?

I notice there is a huge jumble of stuff in the "low value" DTD stuff, can that not still be kept in the correct headers, ie "fresh fruit and veg" "meat and fish" etc etc??

    Thanks

Pen and paper? copy and paste?

We have changed this to make it easier to update. The amount of effort involved in updating it in the old format it not sustainable for us. Even splitting things in to different categories SIGNIFICANTLY increases the amount of time it takes to do an update. At the moment I can pick up several updates at once and transfer them. If they're in sections, each one has to be done individually, we have to go find the right section, insert row, bla bla bla. It all adds up.

We are all doing this voluntarily. And we all have other commitments - jobs, studies, children - in some cases all of the above. We have opted to keep the separate headings on the Hot Deals tab is this is the one most people are interested in.

Personally, I appreciate the time they take to update the SS, but these latest "amendments", ie no shopping list functionality, separate and unorganised "low value" DTD items are a huge step backwards for the spreadsheet users.

Lots of people asked for Low value to be separated btw, that wasn't something we did on a whim.

I'll be blunt. There were more updates coming through than we could cope with in the old format. It took TOO LONG out of our day. We were struggling and burnt out. If we had carried on like that the spreadsheet would probably have died completely as we would all have given up.

No i had got a double up coupon to use on camping stuff and 2 weeks coupons to use i dont think their any thing wrong with that I am not selling them on ebay so dont judge me some people are useing 2 and 3 a day

You may not think there is anything wrong with that, BUT you are breaking the terms and conditions by using more than one voucher in a day.... That is a fact.

The person selling those vouchers on ebay may have a legitimate reason for doing so, you or i don't know, so to get all self righteous about it is very hypocritical.

It could be said that everyone using this thread is abusing the spirit of the price check scheme, so a little less hypocrisy would be great.

I am much more interested in confirmed hot deals, I wouldn't blame you if you took off the unconfirmed and low value altogether.
